Applying foundation - fingers, sponge or brush

I don't know how anybody manages to wear foundation at all..my face is just way too hairy so it ends up flaking off or it's just too visible.

I use fingers for my mousse foundtion, a brush for my mineral foundationa dn a sponge for my spray foundation.

I've tried using a brush but my foundation always ends up looking
weird. I'm comfortable applying with my fingers but I also want to try
a sponge.

Really is your forhead hairy? Or is it just those little baby hairs around the hairline?

yeah, I think that is why I always end up not using the foundation brushes that I buy after a few weeks. They just make the foundation look too "dramatic" for me. I like my non-latex white wedge sponges better

sponges really absorb so much of your product, and it ends up all inside the sponge than your face.

I use a brush, to apply evenly and distribute, and then the sponge to lightly dab all over the face, and smooth it out, so if there's any excess on your skin, the sponge will pick it all up and blend seamesly.

^well, I find that if you use a damp sponge and first smear the makeup around in one big ol unblended layer on the face and pat it in with a sponge that the sponge abosrds much less product than if you use the conventional blending "strokes."

I use Mac's kabuki brush for my Mineral foundation and a sponge for my spray foundation.

I use a foundation brush and blend it with a sponge - always. I get perfect, even coverage this way. I do this with both liquid and cream foundations and add moisturiser if it needs thinning out.

I really like shu uemura brushes. Their kolinski are the best but they dont have them for the face, just for the eyes. So I just have a synthetic brush for creme and natural for powder.

Fingers and a sponge to blend. I don't think a brush is very sanitary because it's a pain to wash every few days. I just throw out the cheap sponges after a couple uses.

Is it peach fuzz? I have a lot on the side of my face so I just put foundation in spots where I need it. I wouldn't recommend waxing your face though; seems like it would damage your skin.

I usually just use my fingers, I used to use a brush but it got broken.
infact I didn't use it much anyway because I thought it was harder to apply, although it was probably because it was cheap.
I'm going to try again with a better quality one.

I bought a foundation brush in the Body Shop, it's actually really good.

i use MAC's square foundation brush to achieve an even, flawless look...i choose not to use my fingers because of the oil it secretes and accumulates...:flower:

^ Your right, I really need to get one.
do you prefer the square brush to the normal rounded one?
