April 77

doktor - April77 isn't THAT cheap (in the US) and Cheap Monday is much cheaper. Do you think April77 in terms of quality is better than CM?

Beautiful Stranger - if you're 25 in Sass, 26 in Tsubi, and 24 in Aprill77, and I'm 24 in Sass, 6 (AUS, normally = 0 US), does that mean 24 in April77 would be too big on me?! Do you have the colourdrive? not sure if i should go with the grey or the black high standard... oh and since you own all the brands that I do, which is your favourite?

it's strange how some people say you should size up, some people say you should size down.

I agree but I think it depends on how you like your jeans to fit and on the shape of your body. I'm a little confused now. I think I'll order my regular jeans size and see how they fit. Otherwise I'll return them although I hate the hassle of havinf to send back items that don't fit. And as I live in Europe and have to order them from a US site it will take even longer for the jeans to get here and possibly back. But I think I'll give it a try anyway.

Velony - same here. I'm in Aus and will have to order it from the US and I'd hate to send them back if they don't fit. I think I really like them though and will give them a try as well.

Wow, that's weird, cause i tried on a sz 26 waxed navy cords, and they were huuuuge. I would like have needed maybe a 23, if it's excisted.

the colourdrives are kinda true to size. the dischords i have are big in size, you better size down.

should i get grey colourdrive or black hi standard? does anyone know how the fit differ in each? i think the colourdrive is dry and hi standard is over-dyed. wonder what a difference that would make?

miss j, i am 24 in some jeans, and yes, if you're a 24 in Sass & Bide they might not fit you skintight. But give it a try =)

will do beautiful stranger!
just ordered the high standard in 24. looking forward to receiving them in the mail! :)

miss j, i would say april and CM are pretty similar in terms of quality -- i prefer the april fit a bit better (theyre not quite as skin tight) brand new but because they fit a bit looser around the crotch and im pretty slim after a few weeks of wear the stretch isnt all that becoming. i agree the sizes are a bit unpredictable too depending on the style/wash...i own a few pairs of 28's and a pair of 30's...

yay my april77 arrived today. 24 fits me well but they aren't skin tight. i like them but i just hope they won't stretch too much! my cheap mondays in 25 actually feel even tighter. i don't know why people say april77 is super skinny. tsubi's are the skinniest i own.

velony - it says on the first page that little red riding hood in Berlin carries them. Why not give them a call instead of ordering from the US where import duties have been put on them (you'll pay import duties twice) or call a shop in Paris?

Meg, thank you so much. I just found them on the German ebay for only 45 Euro. They should be here any time this week. I already ordered them in a 27 last week and found them kinda tight. I mean, they fit but I don't like my jeans too tight around the waist. So I'll give the 28 a try.

great velony! glad to hear you found them in Deutschland!

Overrated. They're de rigueur for Lycee Henri-IV prats. £100 for standard scene kid jeans? Methinks not.

80Euro is pretty great for incredible vibrant colored jeans (grey, red, and newer colors like electric purple, yellow, cyan blue, etc) and a pretty decent raw.
these jeans are pretty great when it comes to colored denim--i haven't seen anything else like them when it comes to how rich their colors are. and i haven't met too many ppl or anyone here in chicago wearing April 77s so they're not overrated or overexposed over here. which is great for me 'cause i like their jeans a lot. :p

100 pound/200usd or 150usd in the US is ridiculous when these jeans are 80Euro in France. I'd rather travel to france for holiday and stock up over there than pay 200USD for Aprils. hahhaha.
