My favourite is Bigger Boys and Stolen SweetheartsTwill Bill said:E.g. Knock a Door Run (about nick knocking)My favourite is Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts
But I do love that song, and Bigger Boys... the silly songs are the one like 'Curtains Close' with the fake American accents (fake tales of San Francisco...?
)city girl said:what about that 'baby i'm yours' song
i can't believe they are only a few years older than me..
i kind of assumed alex was single for some reason..he'd be a pretty intelligent guy though judging from the lyrics
, but there is a lot of backstabbing going on against his ex

sick: ) goes on about it. The Arctic Monkeys have been hanging out on a dilapidated Liverpool housing estate today – shooting the cover of their second album.
The Sheffield four-piece posed in three specially painted houses on an estate in Garston for their as yet untitled follow up to their multi-million selling debut Whatever You Say I Am That’s What I’m Not.
Liverpool designers Juno, who also did the artwork for the first LP, have spent the last week gutting three unoccupied houses from the estate, before moving a team of spray artists to paint the interiors.
Juno’s PR manager Gemma Germains told us, “They were really impressed and chuffed with the houses, which we were obviously very pleased with. It’s been a big job!”
The Arctics even got on well with the local kids from the estate – who managed to make off with the toilet from one of houses earlier this week and whom your correspondent had the pleasure of verbally sparring with yesterday.
Germains added, “The band behaved impeccably as always. They hung out with the kids, signing guitars and stuff and having cups of tea with the neighbours.”
The three houses feature designs from a number of artists picked out and composed by Juno and the band. The designs were then spray-painted over the interiors by the 54 Crew - who flew off to paint for the King of Qatar after completing their work at the weekend.
Despite the band finishing their part of the shoot today, more photographs will be taken at the weekend and next week, with the front walls being taken off the houses so the interiors can be shown off in all their glory.
1 Matador - 3:36
- a upbeat intro to the album, similar in structure to 'YPCSFTLBYWSSAM', with the pounding drums all the way through.
2 Bakery Song - 2:57
- opening lyrics are common knowledge to any true AM fans, "i wish you'd smiled in the bakery" and this is a strong song, similar in sound to that of early Smiths.
3 I've Been Here Before - 4:01
- the album first slow song, mainly al on acoustics with the drums coming in halfway through, helders also sings in the middle eight and is a very very good song (POSSIBLE SINGLE)
4 This House Is A Circus - 1:43
- a one and a half minute stomper reminds me of 'Stickin To The Floor' and one line says "All the way from the trapeze, you stuck to me, like honey to the bee and i... don't think i'm ever gonna smile. when this house is a circus"
5 Balaclava - 3:07
- a dance infulenced song, with drum loops and the AM's first massive guitar solo (POSSIBLE SINGLE)
6 Break Beats - 0:59
- an interlude for the album in which al is heard mumbling words which sound like 'desperate for the ????? knowledge yet, so many expectations... come to the dancefloor'
7 D Is For Danger - 3:54
- straight into 'd is for danger' from 'break beats', helders on drums and alex singing over the top with a building bass from nick until the second verse when the whole band joins in a HUGGEE serenade of 'd is for danger and daniella ain't safe'
8 Love Song - 3:00
- a pure acoustic track from alex, similar to 'No Buses'
9 Self-Proclaimed - 2:13
- the exact same guitar intro as that to 'fake tales' but then cuts out after 0:13, when self-proclaimed starts with screams of 'this is the one!!!' very uptempo song (POSSIBLE SINGLE)
10 We Trashed Metal - 4:39
- can't really describe this, other than to say its darker than 'Vampires' and 'Chun Li' put together..
11 Out In The Smoke - 3:44
- seems to be a tale of life in the city, includes lyrics: 'and out in the smoke, there's crackheads on the corner with the shringes and such things'
12 Liverpool - 3:07
- similar to 'sungoesdown' starts slow and that beats into a fast song, which includes a scream of 'you'll never walk alone'
13 Flourescent Adolescent 6:39
- magnificant, almost seven minutes long and a great close to the album!

Twill Bill said:I hate reading that. It just makes me want to listen to the album, but I can't, so... it's frustrating. But I still appreciate it Kanita
There aren't any of the long titles, hmmm
