The girl in that first photo looks compelling... I had never seen jester tights worn outside of costumery or fashion editorials, but I wasn't ready to write them off yet, of course.

^ I agree, but on the whole I am very disappointed with the street style in Melbourne. It's rare to find someone who doesn't follow trends and also knows what works for their body type. A lot of the time I see beautiful clothes on a person who they do not suit at all (this happens a lot with vintage clothes), or clothes that look absolutely awful but are on trend.

That's not to say that everyone is absolutely hopeless. There are exceptions!

I hope I'm not offending anyone by saying this.

Love the girl's outfit in #833 Those pants are lovely...And I can't help but agree Twill Bill, that many Australians fall victim to fashion trends to the point where it becomes monotonous and just plain repetitive...Retailers however do have a hand in this though. When one trend sets in it is hard not to turn around without finding that it has infliterated most department stores here. Hence it just becomes mainstream

I'm so proud of sydney looking so pretty for garance and scott- you couldn't tell, but it's actually freezing cold at the moment! (eta..well freezing for sydney standards, lol)

Also superhappy they're getting great photos!

Iwonder if Garance or Scott were caught in the blackout today?
