I wouldnt compare Stephs face with Tahnees - Tahnee has a more modern beauty face then Steph whose beauty face is a la 80ies beauty.

And yay happy Clare left. I also liked her in the very beginning but at some point she started to fade. Plus, I am not a fan of what they showed as far as personality goes. And after I read her interview on Live journal, it confirmed my dislike...

On the first day of Australia’s Next Top Model, the other girls slapped a label on me and it stuck. And while there are worse names to be called than “prissy”, I won’t deny that it hurt to be judged like that because it’s about as far from the truth as you can get.

I may go to a private school in Adelaide, but I’m on a full academic scholarship. I live in an ordinary house in an ordinary suburb, and my parents have ordinary jobs. They have worked very hard to give me the best, and the fact that my mum was homeless at my age and has managed to turn her life around is a huge inspiration.

I chose not to discuss my background on the show, because I didn’t want any special treatment. I learnt the value of hard work from a young age, so I put my head down and went for it.

Unfortunately, some saw my determination as snobbery. I think bullying stems from insecurities and Cassi [Van Den Dungen], who instigated the bulk of it, obviously had a few. I tried to stay away from her after she threatened me with violence, but as we lived together 24-7, it wasn’t easy...

There was a point where I tried to pull Clare out of the show. Cassi had threatened her with physical violence and I wasn’t confident Clare was safe.

But when I spoke to her she said, “Mum, if I leave now I’ll be showing everyone that bullying is OK, and I’m not going to let it beat me”. That’s the type of kid she is.

Clare may seem calm and collected, but she’s also very passionate. She once made a boy cry during a school debate because her argument was so strong, and if you get her talking about women’s issues, she won’t stop.

My life was completely different at her age. After my mother abandoned us, I found myself homeless when my father remarried...

* i think the interview is rubbish. clare is the one who sounds insecure, cassie yeah she does have some issues, but she was nice to clare, n clare was the one being rude back. And i reckon clares doing this now because she wants the public to hate cassi so they dont vote for her. clare is an insecure 30 yr old looking cow.

i'm almost crying now when i watched the episode, sending clare home is the stupidest thing they've done for the 5 cycles
this show is a joke, it was pure luck that they had alice, now they have this image of a different thing than the other ntm shows, but it's not true
it's all about drama, "personality" and all this crap
even the fact that nearly every post of this thread contains words "immature" [the most popular one], "personality", "magic", "fake" and such, proves it
look at regular model threads in supporting cast, models are discussed on their heigh, measurements, faces, proportions, bone structure etc.

and jez smith is as bad of a photographer as he is of a judge
remember how he was trying to send alice home every freaking episode?
this photo shoot could be so beautiful, the girls were so breathtaking in natural light, but he turned it into one of his overphotoshoped atificial light shoot
and how he said that clare didn't make an "omg" impression made me laugh because every week [exept 4 & 5 because of bad styling] i was litteraly "wowing" looking at her, her face is a pure inspiration

so now i just hope that cassi will fix her teeth and go overseas, no matter if she wins it or not

my parents are really poor, and as i child i just understood that if i want to be a successfull person, i have to be smart
i was a straight a's student at school, i've won national competitions on french for 2 years in a row, and then i was invited for a 100% schoolarship in one of the most prestigious universities of the whole country
i'm really similar to clare on this one, and nobody just gets that we are not prissy, we just didn't have much oportunities in life because of the financial situation, and we had to fight for our place under the sun, thus we are highly educated, well spoken and thoughtfull

and btw, if you seriously don't understand why she said that, is because they didn't want a smart and well-structured answer, they wanted an emotional and tearful one

At the end of the day, It is a model competition. Cassie is the best model therefore should win.
Clare is OK but sarah wanted a curvy girl in the final and has strong bias towards Tahnee.

I really dont think Sarah should tell Tahnee to lose weight because she is athletic.. Fine she doesnt have a stick thin body like Cassie but I really do not like Cassies body..Sarah shouldnt have to change her views for Australia and I support her for that. She admires Tahnee and she shouldnt go around telling 16 year old girls to lose weight..

Fair enough Tahnee may not make it in high fashion but she will have a good career IMO.. And i definatly prefer Clare over Cassie and still cant understand why she was chosen instead. Cassie can not walk and I dont think shes mature enough to handle it in the spotlight

And this is to find a model that will actually get work and get top jobs right (hence top model) not someone that is chosen to make a statement and that will chnage the industry standards.

yeah but she was picked over alot of other girls in the country for a reason.. Shes not big at all and she has never had trouble fitting into the designer clothes unlike some other "plus size" models.. Tahnee has been repeatedly picked throughout the show as being the most beautiful and I think alot of people will chose her to work for them.. She has said she needs to work on her body and she will but I think its just stupid and wrong to say that shes big when she is not.. You can barely tell the difference between her body and the other girls in photos so I think its great shes made it so far..
Tahnee is fit and healthy and if all people have to be skinny like Cassi who smokes, drinks etc then its just ridiculous. I think Tahnee has a similar appeal to someone like Miranda Kerr ( even if they have different bodies) and I'd much rather see someone like Miranda Kerr then train wreck Kate Moss

its silly to put down cassi by saying she smokes and drinks, who cares, alot of models smoke and drink. but seriously alot more clients will chose a girl like cassi over tahnees body. wayne cooper didnt want her in his show because her body was too big. (for the modelling world) neither did anna and boy. yes tahnee is gorgeous but she doesnt have the right figure for high fashion shows. face yes for commercial and print work. but body no.

she is no Mirranda Kerr by any stretch. Again we can get into chnaging the fashion world agenda but I cannot think of anyone that looks like her who is doing a lot of work.

Plus she is shorter making it even more difficult. But only time will tell. I expect her to do some beauty in Australia but doesn't have anything at the moment to appeal to the international audience.

I can't say more because this will go into weight discussion but she simply is no model at the moment. Everyday pretty girl? yes . model? no. Even she spoke about her body it at the elimination- she knew that Sarah was Bs'ing her. She also didn't book that many fashion week shows.
But I guess being in denial is better? and smoking has obviously nothing to do with getting modelling jobs. 8/10 of working models these days smoke and Cassi looks much more like a working model (even Vs and SI) compared to Tahnee.
