Australia's Next Top Model

We're halfway through the season and I still don't know the girls names. I hope next cycle is more memorable. I've been looking forward to this one for awhile but it's just disappointing to me. I wish I could get into it.

she is too short and her body is definitely not well proportioned

We've seen her in the Bonds show + the Megan Gale show and she looks fine to me. She fit the clothes in the fashion week show with no problem that was shown. I haven't noticed any "long torso/short legs" issue or something like that and her measurements from the HB site were fairly standard. I'm certainly not trying to convince anyone, I just don't think she'll have to do much work in that area post-show.

Obviously being short is a major hurdle, but then there are girls like Bambi who at 5'7" are doing runway at NYFW. It may or may not happen for Kelsey and it's really just a matter of opinion whether one thinks she has a chance because until the show is over, we don't really know.

I'm so bummed that Jessica left! If they didn't think her look was current, then why the hell did they keep her for so long? I find that very cruel.

But this was perhaps the best episode this season. So many LOL moments and some really lovely emotional parts.

The production values of this episode were also amazing - the shots and the editing were top notch.

Also, I loved how they kept in the episode how Jez said it wasn't the best shot of Amanda that he chose.

The top 3 are pretty close...but I can't see Kelsey winning because of her height (despite the fact there are many short models starting to break out). Sophie has really surprised me and I have a feeling she would take this out, except the fan vote will get Amanda through.

Jess's looks is current - in NY, Paris and Miland. But of course not for Hollywood LA modeling, of course for that Sophie takes the prize. LOl at her 'having international model potential' ahaha. Right. That guest judge knows nothing about whats in now in modeling.

Since Sara kisses** of Sophie she may win but at this point I want Amanda to win.

exactly. i think from all the NTM shows, AusNTM might have the highest production value. everything just looks extremely.... 'expensive'.

i knew they'd sent Jess home when Sarah sad they're looking for the girl who'd get work right now.

i think she should branch out, maybe try NYC and Europe on her own.

still loving Kelsey. i really hope she wins.

also loved Alex' little line in the preview where he said 'if i could move my eyebrow i would right now' LOL. i love that he can poke fun at himself.

That was really an amazing episode. All the girls did so good! I've never been a huge fan of Jessica in the past, but I really liked her this week and her photo was gorgeous. Best of luck to her! Sophie's growing on me, but I still don't see her as good enough for first callout. At this moment, I think any of the final three can win.

I hope that amanda, and i never thought i would say this but sophie are top 2. But amanda for the win. I just hope she dyes her hair LIGHTER, she would look much better, more youthful and less jersey shore.

Like who? Who's been a hit in the NY model world recenetly who looks like Jess?

The only new 'alien' girls who have been getting buzz recently are Codie Young and Emily Wake. But I wouldn't call them successful just yet - Codie's only been working in Australia, and Emily one season in Paris. Not saying the look may not come in again soon (things like this always come in waves), but right now it seems the trends are more towards: strong bone structure; androgyny; classical beauty; and sorta Lolitaesque (Lindsey Wixson, Anais P, Daphne G), childlike girls with contradictory large lips.

I don't like Sophie (my favourites have always been Kathryn & Amanda) but she does tick the box when it comes to having a strong jawline, and can do classical beauty as well as androgyny. I hope she doesn't win though

Completely agree with this!

The thing with Sophie for me though is that whenever I see her photos, it's Sophie - she can't transform into anything else for me.

With the strong jawline and steely gaze though, if Sophie tries REALLY hard and reinvents herself, she could be really versatile - like model herself after Anja Rubik.
