Balenciaga F/W 13.14 : Kristen McMenamy by Steven Klein & Sylvester Ulv by Josh Olins

What a waste ! When I read Kristen Mcmenamy and Balenciaga I thought it would be "gradiose" but this just lack of originality

Steven Klein might win the most boring photographer of the year award this year... hard t beat Testino and/or Slimane but so far I am very disappointed with his work...

One more.

There is something very ominous about this and yet I like this shot a lot more.

Totally! Her body looks contorted almost.

Love the stark mood of these photos. Keep 'em coming!

It's like a Brahmin ad, what a waste of not using a McMenamy face.

She should front Marc Jacobs and her daughter would have been sufficient for this campaign.

The new logo looks so bad, like anyone could have made it in Paint.

Balenciaga's team would never let Wang's first campaign to be anything but perfect, because they need to prove that they can do well without Ghesquière.
I feel like they're slowing showing us previews of what's gonna be a huge campaign. Kristen is always an excellent choice and I liked what I've seen so I've got giant hopes for this

I don't understand the point of hiring and paying a big model like Kristen for your campaign and then cutting her head off in every shot. Call me old fashion but I would like to actually use the face I'm paying for. Aside from that I don't actually have a huge problem with the ads so far.

But cutting the models' faces is very old-fashioned too... people have been doing it for more than eighty years now.

I don't like it. This campaign does nothing for me. And that bag looks terribly photoshopped...

I love the look of the campaign, and I like the new logo; it's less wannabe-Tron and more like Cristobal Balenciaga's logo.
My problem is with the poorly photoshopped handbag on her lap.

I have to say i'm very pleased with what i've seen, everything looks in it's place, and i'm not bothered at all by not seeing kristen's face... they're trying with this campaign to spread awareness about the brand name, and hight fashion concept of the house, no need of a model's face or any distracting feature in the shot.

I kind of like the idea of cutting Kristen's head to focus more on the clothes and the accessories. So far I'm loving this campaign: edgy, dark and mysterious. I'm pretty sure that these are just previews and sooner or later we will all be delighted by Kristen's beautiful face! ^_^
