Balmain DIY

ya. i was thinking about adding shoulder pads but the shoulder area is too small. i might try something with my shoes. i have these black pumps and i was thinking of putting on rhinestone and stud bracelets on my ankles to make it look like part of the shoe.

As earlier promised my copy of the Balmain 09 Green Dress

It doesnt look that great just lying on the bed it looks better on... also I customized it a bit in making it backless.. im not sure if the real balmain one is backless..

im working on replicating a sewing pattern on the balmain jacket, with handmade shoulder pads. i'll post pics when my camera gets charged...

You'll never ever guess where is it from.... From TESCO :lol: Sorry about the photo quality, it probably doesn't show the blazer properly, the pads are bigger when it's worn, not big enough for me though  They're kind of characteristic Balmain pads, but I think I'm gonna improve them :shifty:

taken by me

Apparentely someone was inspired by this :p

^ Well, I don't really remember now, I've already removed the price tag, but I think it was something like €30 :flower:

I dont know if you guys in the States can get them, but here in Australia there are lots of stores that are selling the Balmain style shoulder pads on their own, which you attach to the jacket. I have a feathered one that is so much fun but I get alot of strange looks - I dont think people know Balmain that well here..

I just saw this and had to come back to this thread and share.. its a padded bra with padded shoulders! Amazing, i guess a customized regular padded blazer worn with this would be uber padded... what do you lot think xo

THis isn't the most ingenious thing but you know those hole-y brown tees from ss10? My dad has a bunch of army brown undershirt t-shirts and I'm totally gonna steal the most washed and worn out one, cut the neck to a ballet neckline, snag a few holes into by breaking a couple threads and stretching them out and viola!: 945 euro t shirt for free....

pinksatin, That's brilliant , but gosh I can't believe the original one costs 900+ euros :|
I think it's ingenious enough to not let yourself brainwashed by the brand name and actually spend that amount of cash on something you can easily make yourself :):)
