oh I've definately noticed this a while now
and I agree with most people on here about not wanting it to become big.. not because it's ugly (because I think it can look great when done right) but because on the wrong person this will just look terrible

I only like this when it's paired with something highwaist

This trend is going to be huge.

I first noticed it at the Mens Spring/Summer 2009 Prada show.

I'm going to assume Prada will do the midriff for her womens show and then everybody will swoon over it

^ Funny you mention Prada because back in 2001 she showed bare midriffs. The look was either a cropped sweater or bandeau top with a pencil skirt or high waisted full pleated skirt.

Given her track record, I think if anyone has the power to make this look really chic it's Miuccia.
