Benefit Makeup

I guess I will post because I use and love a few of their things. I'm kind of a wh*re with brands though... I mean I am not loyal to any one brand but as far as Benefit goes, I love:

Boing concealer in light. I've used it for years. It covers well and smoothly for undereye and pimples equally well. I use either a brush or my finger. Both work.

creaseless cream shadow in "r.s.v.p." and "birthday suit" Both great shimmery sheer light neutrals for everyday. They go on so smooth and can be layered for a stronger look at night. COmes in bolder colors but I stick with pale neutrals. Better investment. ANd they don't crease, it's true!

Moonbeam highlighter. My skin looks amazing when I use a tiny dot at the inner corners of my eyes, on the brow bone, and between the undereye and cheek bones and blend it. Just a great healthy glow, not too shimmery. Fantastic!

Recently tried but I think I'm newly addicted to using:

That Gal primer/prep. I love the light moist smoothness. It feels whipped it's so light and it comes out only a little at a time so I know I'm not wasting it. ANd it does give a smooth finish. Now if only it had SPF too...
Some Kinda Gorgeous cream to powder compact. Great coverage. Can be sheer or medium depending on application. Very soft and smooth, even easy application, creamy but does not induce breakouts. My skin feels so soft with it! ALso, I have fair skin and it comes in one color so when the girl showed it to me I was like "hell no that's way too dark" but it's like magic because it blends and is honestly the right color for even fair skintones! Once again though...I wish it had SPF. Then I could skip a step.

I also like Bad Gal mascara in Blue. I think it's basically like the same formula and brush style as Diorshow but doesn't dry out as uickly. I still love Diorshow though:ninja: .

I'm glad you said that about that gal because I have just ordered some!

I always use their eyesketching pencil in onyx. I think it's a great liner that last a long time without giving you raccoon eyes at the end of the night.

missakura, I really hate when they discontinue products that I love; are you talking about the Benetint?

Benefit was the first brand of makeup that I bought on my own, I got Daily Hylaronic Moisturizer (which was awful) and my dearly beloved Alpha Clean. That Alpha Clean was incredible, mud and Aha did my skin wonders. I wish they would bring it back. They revamped the brand a few years ago and a bunch of products didn't make the cut, sad.

Has anyone used She Laq with either the mascara or lip brushes it comes with? It works wonders on my liner, but I'm afraid it might dry out my lips.

I've tried it (liner, mascara and lips).. and it actually works on all 3...for the lips just use a little bit.. if you overdose its going to look messy. ( I guess the texture of the lipstick might play a role as well.. so I'd test it out at home first..)

does lemonaid, the yellow concealer, work on undereye circles with green in them?i'm so pale, that whole veiny area is standing out :ermm:

Benefit launched a new blush!

Thrrrob, A "turned on" face powder

thrrrob.jpg

Product Description:
Turn on the flush, turn up the rush... with thrrrob, our new "turned on" face powder. This pulse-racing pink powder simulates the natural flush you get when your heart races. With accompanying brush, lay it on light across cheekbones, forehead and chin. Then sit back & let the excitement begin! It's a turn on!

Has anyone tried this one yet? Any reviews? How different is it from Dandelion?

Personally, I've never been happy with any of their products. I think the packaging is so clever and cute but everything I've used (I used it years ago though so I don't even remember the names of the items) either broke me out (the moisturizers), ran like crazy (the mascara) or just didn't feel good.

I'm dying for that new product, Thrrrob. I hear it's a bit darker and pinker than Dandelion (which I have, too).

I went to two Sephoras and they haven't gotten it in yet but once they do I am going to buy it and review it.

I don't like lemonaid at all. It seems to have a chalky texture to it and doesn't blend too well.

High Beam highlighter is my first (but not the last:D) product from Benefit, and I must say it's fantastic!:clap:My cheeks are so gloway afterwards, really nice...

Hi, everyone! First post on here:p

I have a question for those of you who use High Beam , do you apply it over or under your foundation?

the cream eyeshadows go on soooo well, i love them.

and the Get Even pressed powder is the best pressed powder i've ever used. it never looks...powdery. haha

I put mine on after everything else.

Outside of Benefit's face powders in the boxes like Dandelion, I think this line is poor quality for the price. But this is only my experience.
