Okay, I have freckles, pale skin and red hair. Great combination eh? :\ haha. Yes, it sucks. But anyways..
I want to try self tanning, because I don't tan in the SLIGHTEST bit. In the summer, I burn, then peel, and then get freckles EVERYWHERE. I want to have a little 'tan' or just be a tad darker. But if it's too dark, with my hair/complextion, I'd look like a complete idiot.
So is there any 'light' tanners out there that would work with my skin tone and hair color? I wish I could see some before & after pictures of self-tanning w/ redheads.
Heather-Im a redhead with freckles too, and very pasty legs. Get the Jergens lotion, I have pasted a picture here. They have a formula for fair skinned and medium skinned people. I use the fair, and its perfect, if you screw up, you can BARELY notice it. Its fabulous!! GO GET IT!!![]()

To answer your questions about St. Tropez, no - it did not rub off on my sheets! I actually have expensive white sheets, and I don't think it rubbed off, and if it did slightly, it was so light that I didn't notice. I wash them every 3-4 days so if any did get on there it came right off.
You can buy St. Tropez online or at Sephora stores. I hope it works for you! So much of this online "beauty advice" is subjective. Sometimes I see someone posting how they hate a product that I really do like. So I hope you like St. Tropez as much as I do!

Are you talking about Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer, their new stuff?

Yeah, I tried putting a picture here but...anyway, its really great stuff. It looks so real. If you are fair like me, and want a glow, get the stuff for fair skin. they make a darker one too. Even if you mess it up, you have to really scrutinize to see it, it blends really well. I was surprised. I also got the St. Tropez stuff, out of curiosity, havent used it yet though. Will report back....

Instead of damaging my skin by the sun and by sunbeds... I'd reccommend the build a tan...
I just did it a few hours ago... my legs look a bit tan... I plan on applying another layer tomorrow![]()
Yay! No more pale legs.

I bought the same stuff, the Jergens, earlier this week. I didn't know it was a partial self-tanner... I just thought the glow part was maybe pertaining to the color of the lotion, like it had a slight shimmer or something. I probably should have read into it more.
I noticed today that I had slight streaks on my left from it - I probably put too much on. Again, I found out after a couple of days of using it that it's a subtle self-tanner.Other than my experience, I've heard rave reviews on it.
