Bluefly.com

oh, thanks for moving me, I am glad I am not alone.

will turn my pm on

Is this legal? Can they really do this to consumers? I didn't know that about bluefly.

Buyer beware sometimes...I recall a thread where we discussed Bluefly items and many times Bluefly may carry and sell the real thing, but dishonest customers return fakes....and I defintely would think that is occuring. Bluefly often only has one or 2 of the same bag, and it would be very easy for a fake to enter its supply...I have heard some of the designer boutiques won't authenticate bags anymore, but I am unsure.

That is ridiculous! and what CT mentioned above is illegal.

Wow, my appreciation for all things The Fashion Spot is growing daily. What I read here lead me to look up the review for www.bluefly.com at the National Better Business Bureau. Here is the review as found in on the BBB site:

http://www.newyork.bbb.org/reports/businessreports.aspx?pid=44&page=1&id=85691

Interesting how bluefly has zero complaints in the last 12 months for sales practices or advertising issues. And only a total of 1 complaint for sales practices and advertising issues in the last 12-36 month period.

That doesn't mean that what the above posters are saying is false, but does indicate that if their practices are such a problem, that consumers are not distraught enough over it to make it an issue with the BBB.

i just bought from bluefly and their listed price was actually $60 less than actual retail.

Thank you so much for posting! I actually considered ordering a pair of Chanel Ballet Flats from them but I am definitely re-thinking that now!

I know! But it's true, I swear. The owners really had us do that, and this was a store in Universal Citywalk, which is very touristy, of course, so that is probably why this store can get away with this. They don't care, they will happily take your money if you give it indiscriminately.

OK, I have News. A Bunch of People on other threads, especially on the Chloe Paddington Thread have said that BlueFly sells Fakes.

I doubt they sell fakes..

Maybe they have to increase prices on the more popular item that they know people will buy to balance out the cheaper items.. I have no idea though.

I wouldn't think that bluefly sells fakes either... everything I've ever gotten there has been authentic... and i know i've never seen a chloe paddington on there.. or much chloe in general really.. and i used to look through their site pretty frequently

I've heard a lot of bad things about Bluefly, enough that I won't buy from them. All of the negative comments stemmed from exactly what you all have said: the "sale" prices really are not sales at all... sometimes more expensive than retail.

whether it's on purpose or not, bluefly does have a history of selling fakes.

they've had problems with their balenciagas especially and some of their chloes.
someone from another forum spoke with someone from balenciaga corp direct and he (man from corp) said that bluefly does NOT authenticate their products.

i know this is an old thread but just wanted to say that i ordered a pair of earnest sewns recently and not only was the pants damaged - a big rip through the back pocket area! - the original label was already marked "weak" with a pen. so are they knowingly selling defective goods now??? def returning to get my money back - but of course they still charge you for the return shipping - am so mad and just wanted to vent.

Bluefly sucks! I bought a ABS dress from them and when I tried it on I didn't like it. I immediately sent it back the next day. That was 2 weeks ago. I worry I'm never going to get my refund. They said they have gotten it but to give them 14 business days to process the return. BEWARE...If you want your money back you are going to have to wait a month plus! I want to cuss but I wont

i bought a wallet for my sister last week and it arrived very quickly...

they've got an additional 20% off today i think...

i browsed through the bags earlier and saw some nice YSL.. there was Miu Miu, Prada, Chloe, Bottega... even some Hermes...

I bought this Andrew Marc jacket a week ago and it arrived today - good service

I know this thread hasn't been updated in a while but that's quite strange, I have a really hard time believing that! It's highly illegal to sell fakes, I can't imagine a company so known would do that. It seems like their business would be shut down within days of reports like that coming out. I can't imagine Tommy Hilfiger would file a false lawsuit. This makes me sad because I love bluefly... but now I am going to be extra cautious about buying from them.
