Boobs

i thnk calling breasts fat is pretty extreme. also, all breasts are made from fat---so how is one breast skinny? JMHO

I know it probably sounds extreme, but I wasn't hardly was being critical of anyone or anything. I don't have negative thoughts about busty women. It's just a subconscious reaction as far as I can tell.

On your second point, I don't believe there's a reason to get into it because I was just throwing words together, but I'll take it up anyway. Nearly all people have some level of fat in them, yet some people are considered thin. So a breast that's made up with smaller amounts of fat could be considered a thin breast.

i hope the writer of this thnks abou why they have sucha negative reaction to a typical body part.

I do think about it. And I do believe I mentioned thinking about it.

To give hope to some women out there who want their boobs to grow, mine grew a little bit these past coupla weeks and I'm turning 19 in about a month's time. They haven't grownenough to make me get new bras, but it's progress nonetheless.. woot woot!

my breast are still growing and i am 22( for all u latebloomers!)

Mine went up a cup size around age 20 or 21, so for those who are younger and hoping to grow more, no worries, there is still hope! Though honestly I think smaller ones are beautiful too, I almost wish mine were smaller.

I wear a 32C now and I'm a huge Victoria's Secret fan, so it's kind of depressing that I can't get a lot of the pretty bras I want in my size (like that red satin secret embrace Angels bra with the flowers on the side that was out around Christmas OMG). I think I inherited these from my grandmother, my mom wore a 34B even after having two kids.

Those who's breasts are still growing when they are in their 20s, when did your puberty start? I'm asking if there is a factor in that.

^ Yes. I got my period when I was 12/13... my breasts didn't grow until I was in my early, early 20's.

I wonder if the fact when you hit puberty is a factor then? I had very early puberty, my period started when I was ten and I started to grow breasts and all things related to puberty when I was around 8-9.

gosh, wow that is early.how did you feel about it? x

WhiteLinen ^^ Hmmmm, I'm not sure. Do those things vary country to country? I know they vary based on nutrition... but it seems that the United States and Europe would be pretty in-line, as I would view it... I know in the U.S. the average age for a girl to get her period is 12 or 13, and breasts, to my knowledge, usually grow around, what, 17?

I should also note that puberty did not hit me hard. I didn't get a spot of acne. So maybe there are just a few exceptions.

Yes, I think 11-13 is the normal age for puberty to fully start with girls.

How did I feel about having such an early puberty? It did leave traumas, for sure. What they say about early puberty causing problems is true. I was so ashamed, I felt like I was wrong and I remember getting teased for it a lot. It did affect my body image too, but I am now "recovering" from it and try to realise there isn't anything wrong with me even if I did develop that early. As for the cause, I do not know what caused it, other than that it runs in my family both from my mother's and father's side (only that in my father's side it only touches the females, not the males of the family). Probably the most awful thing about this was that I had a young, un-developed mind but my body had developed, so I was confused to be older than my age! I remember chauvinistic men whistling behind me when I was nine and telling me to "buy a bra" or "come with them". It was awful and I used to have a distorted view of men and female sexuality.

Ugh...men can be so disgusting!

I hit puberty at the average age too, I think around 12 or 13. I remember having to buy my first training bra in grade 8 (about age 13).

I got my period when I was 10 and my breasts grew to 34B when I was around 12. Then after 20 they grew again, I'm 34D now.

Is 32C considered not small? I wear 32C bras and I still find myself having smaller boobs than most people.

I got my period when I was a month shy of 14. I wore my first bra at 15 years old. It was really embarrassing to not have boobs up until 9th grade but I guess it gives me more time to grow right? :woot:

To me... calling breasts small... it's so arbritrary... am I the only one that feels this way? Who is to say that 34Bs or C's are small...? Or why are they deemed "small"? I never see "small" as a bad thing, either. Breasts are such a funny thing... a very strong, but funny thing. :flower:

Mine started growing in 4th-5th grade although not that much-when I was in 7th and 8th grade I was a 34-36B and then went to a C by end of 8th grade and by freshman year they were at a 36D and I think they're growing again. I got my first period shortly before I was 12 though.

I have small boobs and I pray that they stay the same size. I don't like bigger boobs on myself.. Everytime I put on my padded bras I take them off straightaway because the sight of myself having slightly larger boobs is a bit weird..

I think smaller ones are more "efficient" (as in don't have to wear a bra 24/7 etc) and I can wear a large variety of clothes without worrying about excess cleavage. But I don't mind big boobs on other people.. Just not me :P

So it doesn't depend on puberty ... I wonder what will happen to me!

Hmm...when I was 34C they were definitely not small. I think 32C looks a lot like 34B (they are "sister size" bras after all), which is considered average size. I think they look average (and quite good) personally. Also I think breast size has a lot to do with heredity...I probably got my cup size from my grandmother...so just take a look at your family and that should be a good way to estimate how yours will grow. Btw, 34C looked quite large to me when I was 21...I think maybe the media has since distorted my views on breast size.
