Boston shopping

for any Marc Jacobs fans there is a sale going on at their Newbury Street location..

70% off a selection of handbags, also some shoes on sale and clothes as well--I don't remember the specific percentages for those though...

Question, this might be kind of random, but....

Ok, so I used to be in Boston a lot, now I won't be there anymore, not for a while anyway. Anyway, I purchased this 9.99 shirt (yeah I know) from the Downtown Crossing H&M which I really liked. Due to some turn of even I can't really discuss LOL, I no longer have that shirt. I looked up online and H&M doesn't have online shopping (???) and my local H&M store does not carry those shirts. It really doesn't make much sense to go all the way to Boston for me for just one $10 shirt LOL, so is there any way to order from the store directly or have them ship it to my local store?

Thanks

H&M has two stores in boston now, one on newbury street.
if you still have the original tag with your shirt, you can call them and give them a digit code which will tell them where to look for the shirt in the store.

H&M is planning on selling a limited amount of things online starting next year, but it may not be available in the US.

^well, if the shirt was $9.99, then I wouldnt even worry about it..but that's just me :flower:

LOL, yeah, but:
A. I loved it
B. It fits me well. Being really skinny, I have a REALLY hard time finding fitting shirts at reasonable prices
C. IT'S ONLY 9.99

MyNameIs: If you give me a description of what it looks like and what section you found it in (near the women's fitting room, the front, the "teenage section", or in the back with more casual stuff) then I may be able to help you out.

Also, I was reading downtowndarling.com, and as you know Boston doesn't have that many sample sales/fashion shows/etc., well in comparison to New York obviously. However, there apparently is going to be a fashion show/sample sale at the Living Room on Atlantic Avenue. I personally don't know much about it, but if you want to check it out you can visit the website and you can buy tickets there too if you want: http://geocities.com/fashionshowboston/ Oh, and it's for 21+.

hmmm i've never heard of any of the names advertised in that flyer.... has anyone else? are they boston-based designers?

^I went to the sale @ MJ, Chrissy...No menswear on sale, barely no menswear pieces either (the SA told me they're between summer & fall lines and are in the midst of bringing out their fall line..ironic, since its not even summer yet)..

They had (menswear) M/MJ shoes on sale for 40% but they didnt have any of the shoes I wanted in my size...lucky me, since they still would've been too pricey even on sale...but they did have a $65 windbreaker on sale, down from $190, which actually came in handy when I walked home from the T in the rain..Work!

i wonder if the MJ store had those silver mens sneakers. i covet those. gonna hafta check that out.

burberry is having a sale now. i wish they would reintroduce that fishermans hat!

that sucks about no menswear on sale... :(
i should have paid more attention when i went so i could give an accurate report to everyone...
it was pretty overwhelming in there with all the bags scattered on the floor though...
at least you managed to get a windbreaker to ward off the rain!! it was pretty crazy out there today! at least it cooled off a bit once the rain started to come down..

Depends on which ones youre talking about...If its the MJ/Vans, nope, no such luck...but if its the ones posted in the pic, yes, they do...from what I remember, they had them in white, black, and silver...they also had some high-top Converse-looking shoes as well, which were going for $300+, also in more colors...I only wanted the black or white ones in the one pictured, but they didnt have it in my size :(

I also notices MJ's version of DocMartens..I notice more people wearing them, so I cant help but think "Hmmm..comeback?"

Thanks for the info re: the Burberry sale...Too bad they discontinued their Menswear Prorsum line..Rats!

That's very kind of you, but that's ok. I'm not going to bother someone with a 10$ shirt. I'm actually thinking of going down there to do some shopping and I'll be able to get all the shirts I want. I know it might sound crazy (or all you fashionistas out there), but I really love H&M, their shirts are the only shirts in my price range that fit me. I'm super skinny and tall, so I can't buy any of the regular shirts because if they're good in lengh they're so wide they could fit three of me and when they good with width, they're way too short. So, good thing for those slim fitting shirts from H&M.
