Boston shopping

i went to alan bilzerian and picked up some adidas by stella mccartney on sale.

i was surprised to see a z cavaricci pair of pants for 9 dollars! what are they thinking trying to sell it there!

also, 2nd markdowns at barneys have been taken. i didnt buy anything.

as far as i can tell, alan never/rarely jobs stuff out. so they keep bringing stock back season after season for sale time.

nope, they only had really ugly mens shoes left...i want those silver high tops as well.
i have seen them at the marc store in the village however!

Ohh and what size are you?? I'm desperate for these shoes so I'll be calling around any place that possibly sells them (on sale ofcourse), and if they have your size then I'd let you know! :flower:

when i saw them at the store in the village in NYC, 385 bleeker street. they were 40% off. i dont know what the original price was...268? this was about a month ago. you might also want to call the one at mercer street in NYC.

this is the most famous marc store. i bet they are the most knowledgeable. i would call them and ask if they are available at any other stores. they would know.

also did these shoes go to any department stores? maybe they are at the barneys in NYC? Maybe...

i'm a womens size 7 by the way;-)

i think its disgraceful. why doesnt he donate the z cavarrici pants to charity?

dunno why he doesn't dump stock. wasn't there a minor cavaricci resurgence in the past few years? I swear I even saw them at Neiman's or Saks~two years ago? My mental associations with it are so bad that I couldn't ever countence buying it, based strictly on 80s memories alone.

Thank you soo much lucy!! I'll call them tomorrow and ask.. I've never even seen these shoes in real life (they don't sell any mens MJ here) yet I want them soo bad.. hahaha

ahh I just called the Bleecker store, the guy said they were sold out in all the MJ stores across the country!

I'll try Barneys now..

edit..argh.. Barneys doesn't have them.

Ok, I have some BAD news to report, lol. I went to Boston yesterday to get some of those 9.99$ shirts at H&M, and guess what, THEY were ALL OUT. I cannot believe it. I was ready to get like 15 of them because they're so cheap and they fit me so well and now I don't know what I'm going to do. Does anybody know any other place where I can get some cheap slim fit shirts?

^which H & M did you go to? I was at the one at the Cambridgeside Galleria yesterday and they had tons of t-shirts.

No, not the t-shirts, the dressy shirts. I went to the one on Newburry and the Downtown Crossing one.

This isn't about shopping but since this is where Bostonians congregate...

Anyone know a tailor really skilled with fur, or a place that does quality fur restoration? I have a great coat from my grandmother that would be extremely cute if it weren't way too huge on me, I'd love to be able to use it. Anyone have suggestions?

hi, go down to the fur department at filenes basement downtown. (although its in the basement its owned by another company) they can help!!

^^ speaking of fur.. does anyone know how something like that would cost? my mom has a fur coat that just drowns her.. not too mention the weirdo 80s cut of the coat (big shoulders, balloon-like sleeves)...

i keep telling her she should get something made out of it or should have it re-cut/styled
