Bottega Veneta Bags

Trendoid... that really long road without exits on the way to Woodbury commons... didn't it just feel like it took FOREVER on that road?

Yesss!

The Jardin bag is included in September Harper's Bazaar Must Have Accesories. There is a GIGANTIC close up shot of the black Jardin (takes up two whole pages) in the magazine.

That croc bag looks nice, but the only things I dont like about it, is that the handle looks like bamboo even if it isnt...and the little padlock thing

^ I know what you mean, somehow the padlock just takes away some of the stylishness of the bag.

Did a quick jaunt today at my local Neimans. For whatever reason, I always prefer the selection in the BV boutique vs whatever the local dept. stores carry. The latter tends to be more "plain jane" in my book. But that might just be me.

I just wanted to give a little information for the guy's out there looking for bags..

if you're intersted in a Bottega Veneta bag, but aren't really in an area that you can see their collection (or if you want to see more of there pieces than the small few you see online), then I would give a call to the San Francisco boutique and ask for Michael! he's a wondereful SA who will take the time to talk with you about items, send you a catalogue to look over items with you, and snap some pictures of items you might be intersted in.

it's difficult, in my opinion, to find the right bag for a guy.. but hopefully this will help at least 1 person :)

I fell in love with this bag...

It's going to cost an arm and a leg.

 I can totally see why, that bag is imo a masterpiece. Everything around it just breathes perfection. I say go for it if you can live without that arm and leg until you can get new artificial ones ;)

I am planning to get a classic woven bag in brown but can't find it online. The nearest BV boutique from where I live is 8 hrs drive, which is San Francisco. Other big cites, Seattle (6 hrs), Portland(4 hrs) , I don't know whether any big dept stores carry them. ( then again, I haven't checked yet)

I just wonder anybody who lives in ORegon and own a brown woven , can you tell where you got yours and how was it? Love it, hate it..how did it stand in the weather...thanks

You can pretty much forget Seattle .. the only place I've seen the Bottega bags here are at the Downtown Nordtrom and just a few pieces. Why don't you call the Bottega Boutique in San Fran and have them ship it to you .. shipping should be free to states where they don't have a boutique.

If you don't have a BV store in your state, you should call an out of state BV that won't charge you sales tax. ;)

I would stick with a BV boutique. You are pretty much guaranteed to get a brand new "fresh" bag. You never know what you're getting at the department stores. Most of them leave the bags on display for EVERYONE to paw. :yuk:

there's someone other than me on here who lives in Oregon? :p

I highly recommend you can the BV store at San Francisco. Excellent service.

Curious as to know what you fashionistas think of this BV tote. Much larger than the picture suggests.

I was originally attracted to the color, but the shape is unappealing (and impractical). check out the jessica simpson candids for pics of her carrying it.
