Budget Friendly Makeup

I just ordered Maybeline Full&Soft on eBay, it's not available in Denmark of course. I am very happy with Maybellne's mascaras in general, and I used to use Helena Rubinstein only.

^ Full 'n soft is fantastic! It has recently been discontinued in Canada, such a bummer!
I know that a lot of people boycott Clinque (I too have experienced reactions to their skincare) but their mascaras are great, the Lash Doubling one provides a similar effect to Full 'n Soft (with no allergic reaction, for me anyways). I've repurchased it several times, as well as the Naturally Glossy mascara.

I recently purchased Maybelline's Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation and I'm really impressed! I bought it in 'Nude' to mix with a lighter shade (to accommodate my summer tan...the tan that I didn't plan on getting) By the way, I think I'm about an NC20, but a bit more on the neutral side? This shade would probably be best for an NC25 or so, for someone who has very warm skin. This shade is quite yellow/golden, and it blends well with other formulas . I almost wish I bought a perfect match so I could wear it on its own, I'm liking it so much! No irritation, and it doesn't clog my pores as much as some other foundations do. I'd say it's a light to medium coverage, definitely build-able. It leaves a lovely satin finish (not super matte).

Barry M's dazzle dust is one of my favorite eye shadows ever! I can't wait to try more of their products..

I'm a big fan of Maybelline's Full 'n Soft, too.

Also, I purchased a tube of shimmery white dust at the Dollar Tree many, many (many) months ago and it is the BEST highlighter (and this comes from a Benefit High Beam fan). Wish I could find it again!

Does Full 'n Soft give volume or length or is it that type of mascara that just gives a natural look?

I love Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, it is the best I've ever tried and I had Dior's Nude, Chanel's Pro and Aqua, MUFE HD, Clinique's Supermoisture and so on. Healthy Mix also has light shades, 52 is the right one for me.

I also love the Smokey Eye brush by Essence. For 1,95 € it is amazing!

^ i agree on Bourjois Healthy Mix! i find it much better than my Pro Lumiere, and equal (maybe even slightly better) than Vitalumiere Aqua. I have never found a better colour match than i have with healthy mix, I have found 52 to be perfect. i am now wearing 53 as i have gained a little bit of colour in spring and it is once again perfect! i tan a LOT in summer though without even trying. i end up so dark (one extreme to another). i hope i don't have trouble finding a match then

Bourjois Healthy Mix brings out every flake that I have. Love the colors and application though. I'm currently mixing it with other foundations.

Love the Essence smokey brush for blending. I have to get few more.

^ oh what a shame! i have such dry skin and its one of the few foundations that doesn't bring out any flakes. its so hard to take recommendations on foundations from others, because everyone will react differently

^ yeah, I actually have dry skin too. I started using Healthy Mix during the summer, so in that time my skin wasn't as dry, as it gets in winter. I hope it doesn't change when it gets colder.

It is really difficult for people with dry skin to find the right foundation, I usually have to put some amount of my Embryolisse moisturizer to get just a little bit of glow, otherwise it just looks dull.:judge:

^ luckily for me i am heading into summer. my skin is so dry and dull in winter, and whilst i don't get a LOT of breakouts, i have sensitive skin so the ones i do get get quite irritated. in summer my skin is perfect, if only it could be that way all year round :-(

i find it so hard to find foundation. even though i like my vitalumiere aqua, after 5 minutes it goes dull :-( healthy mix is the best i have found so far!

Funny thing is that I have extremely oily skin. But as it's also very sensitive, I can't find right moisturizer for my skin ... hence the dehydration. So if the foundation is not just right, flakes occur. In the end I couldn't find ideal foundation in any price range.

^ most companies probably assume oily skin= breakouts, rather than sensitivity. i have dry, sensitive skin and prone to blackheads, yet all moisturisers for my skin type that help the dryness etc are rich so they give me more blackheads.

i envy all these people that have found their holy grail foundation. i am still looking but healthy mix is the best so far. i am happy that the best so far happens to be reasonable in price (and always on sale)

Any good budget friendly concealer? My bf keeps calling me panda.

I'm currently using Misslyn concealer and Inglot corrective illuminator and I like both. They're not insanely pigmented but they don't crease as mad either. Bourjois Helathy Mix concealer is also good.

P.S. I would have my revenge if bf called me panda.

depends on where you live and your skin tone. if you are in the UK and have a complexion somewhere between fair and light olive, collection 2000's lasting perfection concealer is powerful stuff. cheap too

Unfortunately I'm out of UK, but still in Europe. :D And I'm also really really fair (+my dark cirlces are more reddish than dark) . I once had this one from Jade Maybelline, EverFresh, which I bought in Germany and it's not available in my country. It was really good!:woot:

A few days ago I picked up a tube of Revlon's Matte Lipstick, I think I'm in love! I almost splurged on Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet, but this is almost better. They aren't super drying and the staying power is fantastic. I highly recommend these!

In my experience concealer is definitely a product worth splurging on, but if you're super tight on funds I would go with a stick concealer, as they tend to be quite pigmented and can be used both under the eyes (set with a very thin veil of powder) and on blemishes. Maybe Physician's Formula or Maybelline?

On another note I've been pleasantly surprised by the performance of Maybelline's Great Lash mascara! I can't believe that it took me so long to try it! I don't find that it builds up very well but it's great for a natural look! It doesn't smudge at all on me.
