Budget Friendly Makeup

Rimmel is def not a bad brand too bad they don't have it in Norway tho.
I also love Etude House, a Korean brand but they do have a US site, and there are also a lot of products on Ebay..I love this brand so much.

Physician's Formula Organic Wear foundation and tinted moisturizer, and Body & Soul cream cover up are both great and easy on the wallet.Maybelline mascara is classic (although I do have a special tube of Lancome Hypnose for special events).

I'm so disappointed with E.L.F, nothing works, NOTHING! Lip gloss is the stickiest thing ever, mineral and powder foundation are orange, mascara is dry (it's like I'd have bare lashes:huh:). The blush is somehow ok, but not very pigmented though.
I bought kabuki brush for nothing (but this one is great, very soft-but I don't have any experiences with mineral make-up), because mineral foundation clearly sux and I already bought another liquid foundation from Bourjois.-_- If anyone (near me:D) wants it I can send it to you.:flower:

My favorite eyeshadow for a while has been "Champagne" by Cover Girl... it's a great highlighter.

Have you tried their eyeliners/mascara, etc? I live in south korea and I've been thinking about trying some of their products. The only brands I've tried are Misha and Face Shop (I'm real cheap :p)

I actually love the ELF lipgloss in Pink Kiss. Sticky but gives a lot of color in one application.. not complaining for $1!

Rimmel is great.. lipglosses, lipsticks (my fave is airy fairy), eyeshadows, and eyebrow pencil are my favorite

Revlon for photo ready foundation (best drugstore foundation!!), lipstick.. especially love their matte lipstick pink pout and Soft Nude lipstick

Maybelline has great lipsticks, eyeshadows, and the Berry Sorbet blush. Especially love their liquid liner in brown- have been using it since middle school.

^Revlon Colorstay foundation is great too,it's my favorite:heart:And I agree about those two Revlon lipsticks, amazing colours.

Wet'n'Wild seriously delivers on eyeliner/eye shadow. No kidding the products are great if you want to test colors or want to buy from a drugstore.

Revlon has the best lipsticks and L'Oreal and Max Factor the best mascaras.

If you ever want to know the pros/cons of a beauty product I can't recommend enough this website.

NYX has superb quality items at such low prices. I have tried their e/s, lipsticks, and lipgloss. Honestly, they are almost comparable to MAC at a fraction of the price.

Barry M is great for eyeshadow.
Their dazzle dusts come in an amazing range of colours.
Their nail varnish also has a lot of colours but I find it to be a bit runny, you need like 3 or 4 coats!

I agree, NYX is great. I love their jumbo eye pencils and round lipsticks.

All from eyeslipsface.com :D

I don't think I'm going to use the Eyebrow Liner & Filler for my brows. The highlight shade will be brilliant for the waterline, I think white is way too harsh. I'm planning on bleaching my brows, and I hope that the Treat & Tame is very light when applied, because I still need to fill in my borws (they are super sparse).

BTW...MAC eyeshadows fit in the ELF palettes! When I've used up my lip colours from ELF I'm going to use it for my MAC stuff, yay! Maybe even buy some more MAC :D

I love Ben Nye and Kryolan. I have a Ben Nye cake eye liner that I swear by, and Kryolan has good standard makeup stuff like eyeliner and rouge. I'm all out of powder and blush so I'll be heading back to Ricky's or Alcone to stock up again :)

Nyx is good too; I like their lip pencils.

mardybum i have always considered buying these but just wanted to get some feedback on it first- thanks so much!

As posted in the Gosh thread...

If anyone with pale skin is looking for a not-too-expensive nude lipstick that doesn't make you look like a ghost, then Gosh has a very nice l/s called Darling 134

gosh1.jpg

It look like a concealer, but when you swatch it on your hand, you can see it has some pink/peach in it. It looks slightly more pink in real life

Nude lips/lips with one layer of Darling

Two layers of Darling

It wears ok. It's semi-sheer, but it's not shiny as you can see. I hate shiny lips on myself, but you could add gloss if you wanted to. It's a really nice natural nude lip stick, really. Something everyone should own I think!
