Finally, a logical fashion decision.

Byrdie Bell, the actress and socialite, has signed with Ford Models.

The New York native is of Norwegian descent and actually bears the name Evelyn Byrd Bell, though she's been called Byrdie since childhood.

She has a movie coming out this Fall called Homecoming, with Mischa Barton and Matt Long, the cutie from Jack and Bobby, which never should have been canceled.

And she follows in the footsteps of fellow socialite beauties Vanessa Traina and Harley Newton-Viera, both of whom recently signed with Elite. Lydia Hearst, Amanda Hearst, Margherita Missoni, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld are also Manhattan socialites with modeling agencies (most are on IMG's women's board).

It seems Ford has their work cut out for them - Byrdie's already been in Vogue more times than Nicole Kidman.

I agree, she does not come across as mature and elegant in motion as she does in photographs. Interesting. I found her quite unlikeable in that video, whereas in her photographs she is rather statuesque and stunning.
