    i'm fine with the clinical and spartan nature of these ads given the minimalism she's ushered in however i hope that we won't have these ads forever like we do with marc jacobs....

    Is Celine taking the MJ/Jurguen route? I don't hate it, but I wish there was some sort of creativity here like past Celine campaigns.
    And if you're going to hire Sigrid, why not just hire a plastic mannequin? Same results guaranteed!

    imo Sigrid adds a new brand of elegance in this campaign, something that the
    past Celine girls has failed to capture. the whole thing just looks more.. chic-er :crush:
    so happy for this one :wub:

    I have to disagree on this one. I just saw this summer's Celine ad with Carmen Kass in a mag, and I think she's more suited to the brand than a girl as young as Sigrid. I see Celine as a brand for women like Phoebe Philo : women in their 30es+, confident, with life experience. A model like Carmen embodies that well, plus she has a natural elegance (at least in the ad).
    That said, Sigrid has a natural elegance too, her blond & nordic look fits Celine too, but she is a tad too young to be a perfect match IMO.

    Anyway IMO too I think they're trying to reach a new target audience that's why they
    hired young models now.

    I Do agree that the Celine Woman is definitely a woman of 30+ but AgrenateD is just pointing out one image, in the other image the woman is clearly the age of Phoebe, and for me the clear reason they are using women of all ages is to prove the Celine woman isn't technically phoebe's age, as contradictory as it sounds, and that the Celine woman is any woman of any age

    I agree there is something more streamlined and luxurious about this seasons campaign. I like the casting better, although I cannot identify the older woman in the first photo.

    I think the problem with last seasons campaign was the washed out colour tone and the poor framing devices. It did not work for me. This time however, everything seems more in tune with a luxury-house-aesthetic, if that makes sense?

    This looks very clean and smart...particularly Sigrid's shots. However I think last season's ads felt lighter and more elegant...mind you there has to be a difference betwenn S/S and F/W so I guess I'll take it.

    I like it, BUT it really looks like a campaign for MARC JACOBS. They could do better
