Caffeine - Friend or Foe?

I have cut out coffee in the morning, and replaced it with freshly made raw juice with a shot of guarana and vitamin B. The natural sugars in the fruit mixed with the guarana and vit B are more than enough to get me through to lunch.

I've tried the more natural stuff, especially the Vitamin B... never works. :(

hooray for this thread

i'm a diehard coffee addict. i average 6 cups a day, minimum :ninja: funny thing is,
instead of having that rejuvenating perk-me-up effect, i get more drowsy whenever
i drink coffee, it's like the effects already reversed itself on me

^ Yes!

It seems that the more tired I am, the MORE tired caffeine/coffee makes me feel. Yet, if I'm actually pretty awake and just want some extra energy, coffee seems to do the trick better... ???

I think everything that taking everything in moderation is good.. that being said, caffeine is my friend.

omg....FRIEND! Friiiieeeeennnnndddd. MY BFF. I barely function WITH coffee, can't imagine what would happen without it. <3 omg I love my coffee. Black, no sugar, in a hello kitty mug...perfect.

Is it a sign of how stressed out we are, or how busy our schedules are, that we need so much coffee?

It's an interesting thing to me!

Coffee is my best friend. I can't start my morning without a black one regardless if i'm tired or not, which if i' am then there is another black one for lunch but, if i'm not tired a "cortado" (black coffee with a drop of milk and little foam) or cappuchino will do me.

It's a friend when i have to do essay all-nighters and swig red bull. But normally i avoid it, except for occasional teas and lattes and chocolate of course.

Can anybody believe I discovered the magic of coffee AFTER college? After countless mornings in class after 2 hours of sleep... ugh.

i absolutely can't go to class or work without a big massive starbucks latte and that's sadly not an exaggeration. i sometimes make coffee at home if im pulling an all nighter but it starts working when ive finished and have to go to bed boo but yea if its a starbucks then quite the best friend ha

^ For this long I've kept a coffee maker out of the apartment! I'm afraid once I start making coffee here I'll be drinking it all the time.

Well, I'm totally addicted to coffee and caffeine. I feel like a dead body without my morning coffee.

I don't see caffeine as a problem in peoples diet, so long as it's balanced out with water.

ETA: When i say caffeine, I mean black coffee or coffee with dairy-free milk (latte, cappuccino etc.)

I love coffee. It keeps me going until bedtime and then I can sleep without problems (:

Friend, friend! The older I get the more tired I feel and I need a cup of coffee to really wake up.

Foe!
Caffeine is fatigueing to the adrenals...

If you need caffeine you are lacking either sleep or proper nutrition.

Foe for me! I have no caffeine tolerance, and unless I drink it on a full stomach and when I'm really tired, my stomach gets upset and I feel like I'm getting an ulcer!
I do love soy lattes though, I just make them with decaf coffee!
