Calvin Klein Pre-Spring 2018

Literally only one shot I like here! The rest are all your usual Vanderperre fare which doesn't appeal to me at all. The casting of Julia Nobis makes it even worse.

Vanderperre's fare usually really appeals to me but this looks boring.

Is this really a campaign? Looks more like a lookbook. Julia looks awful. When is she finally gonna go away?

 and there was me thinking she'd 'retired'!

^That we clarified (and mocked) already in another thread, tardy to the party much...

Vanderperre's style needs just the right elements to work and I feel like no one is actually delivering anything in front of the lenses...the setting is just as dull as the models. Would have preferred to see Sarah Grace staring directly into the camera with her bambi eyes instead of this pretentious boredom.

the vibe reminds me of Harley Weir's photos of Gigi for Missoni

Feels theyskens theory to me. Like 4 years ago. I don't know what's cool anymore

He needs to go, go, go. Besides the fact that this has nothing to do w/ "keeping with the codes" of Calvin Klein (does that even matter anymore in these old labels/new designer combos anymore?), nothing that he's done so far looks good. It's all just, for lack of a better word, ugly.

Wait, are we talking about the clothes or the photography in this thread?

the cowboy inspiration must stop, c'mon raf you can do so much better than this!

This is nice, but it looks exactly the same collections we've seen on the runway.
And IA. I'm done w/ the cowboy inspiration already. Time to move on!
Hopefully he will come up with something different in 2018.
