It looks like a Balenciaga rip-off to me.
yeah, I think the wearability factor is more realistic on this collection than on others with bigger praise this week like Marc Jacobs or Rodarte.. I can picture this on women over 60 or under 25 and looking just as good and individual, there's a perfect balance of simplicity and playfulness with these shapes and materials.I read the review at style.com and I wondered - whats the point of a review anyway?
Phelps, Wintour and Co. can say whatever they want - but if women ultimately want to wear the clothes, Costa has done his job.
I also think these shapes, although box-y, can really work on a voluptuous woman. I actually think they would look more proportionate on a woman with curves rather than a lithe 16 year old model.
ditto.I'm not convinced by every look, but each piece is intricate and invites admiration of its detail construction. I have to applaud Costa for taking the risk and pushing the envelope time after time. He stays with his mininalism aesthetic but changes his design approach with each collection. That's a great example of keeping to your design style and philosophical core without repeating and recycling your work.
ditto.
this is not my favorite CK collection but it's really interesting. i'm in love with these 3 dresses:http://img129.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=46482_calvin_k_ss_09_11_122_1147lo.jpg, http://img153.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=46509_calvin_k_ss_09_14_122_873lo.jpg, http://img243.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=46515_calvin_k_ss_09_15_122_245lo.jpg.
the shoes are disappointing but i like the metallic silver sandals.
omg you guys see balenciaga everywhere .... just leave it alone .... and focus on the collection ....
it's AMAZING !
enjoy it for what it is .........
(However all the sack dresses are indeed awful. Especially the one with the bunched up fabric in the front that looks like a high fashion tumor.)
