scott you should check in vintage or charity shops (in France, I call this "friperie" but actually I don't know what you would translate .... it's a mix btw a vintage shop - because everything's pretty old - & a charity shop - because it's most of the time cheap, but we have charity shops like Secours Pop' or Secours Catholique etc.)
....
anyway .... i find mine in this sort of shop and it was, i think, a woman cape .... bit it's extremely beautifully made and long enough for me (by the knees) and a perfect wool .... it was from the 1960s-1970s and in a perfect condition !!!!
seriously, you should try .....
i wasn't that obsessed before i bought it it but when i saw it ..... OMG ....
a cape (on a man especially) really makes an outfit look delicious and .... i don't know .... it add something, really ... an attitude i think .....
moreover i'm not into the gothic-all-black style at all, i'm tall enough so ... i don't know i think it looks perfect on me .....
i'm not wearing it everyday (and it has spent a lot of time in the plastic bag since i bought it) because my bags aren't easy to carry with it .... but i still hadn't experimented all the possibilities it offers so everyday is a new day with it .....
