^lovely sandals, lovely dress but maybe a bit too tight around the belly-part or might there be some truth to the rumours?
 
I don't like the dress neither the sunnies, but love the sandals and the bag!
 
She looks really happy :) The dress is cute but I don't know if I like it with those sandals.
 
Love the dress, but not how it fits around the chest. But the print is really nice and I especially the length of it.
 
I love this whole look. The dress, sandals, bag, sunnies. But most of all, she's glowing and I think that's what elevates this above average.

The Great Gatsby has been pushed to Summer 2013. :shock: Too bad. Not because I'm looking forward to it, but because I want to see Carey promote a film again!

BURBANK, Calif., Aug 06, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have moved the release date of "The Great Gatsby" to Summer 2013. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

In making the announcement, Fellman stated, "Based on what we've seen, Baz Luhrmann's incredible work is all we anticipated and so much more. It truly brings Fitzgerald's American classic to life in a completely immersive, visually stunning and exciting way. We think moviegoers of all ages are going to embrace it, and it makes sense to ensure this unique film reaches the largest audience possible."

Kwan Vandenberg confirmed, "Baz is known for being innovative, but with this film he has done something completely unexpected--making it in 3D--while capturing the emotion, the intimacy, the power and the spectacle of the time. The responses we've had to some of the early sneak peeks have been phenomenal, and we think 'The Great Gatsby' will be the perfect summer movie around the world."

From the uniquely imaginative mind of writer/producer/director Baz Luhrmann comes the new big screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. The filmmaker has created his own distinctive visual interpretation of the classic story, bringing the period to life in a way that has never been seen before, in a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role.

"The Great Gatsby" follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz, bootleg kings, and sky-rocketing stocks. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without of the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

Academy Award(R) nominee DiCaprio ("J. Edgar," "Aviator") plays Jay Gatsby, with Tobey Maguire starring as Nick Carraway; Oscar(R) nominee Carey Mulligan ("An Education") and Joel Edgerton as Daisy and Tom Buchanan; Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke as Myrtle and George Wilson; and newcomer Elizabeth Debicki as Jordan Baker. Indian film legend Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of Meyer Wolfsheim.

Two-time Academy Award(R)-winning production and costume designer Catherine Martin ("Moulin Rouge!") designs as well as produces. The editors are Matt Villa, Jason Ballantine and Jonathan Redmond, and the director of photography is Simon Duggan. The music is by Craig Armstrong.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, in association with A&E Television, a Bazmark/Red Wagon Entertainment Production, a Film by Baz Luhrmann, "The Great Gatsby." Her sandals make the outfit.

I was really looking forward to The Great Gatsby. I love Baz's movies and Carey hasn't really promoted a film for ages.
 
Not sure what to think about them pushing it back to summer. Was looking forward to her promoting the film. At least we are getting a few candids of her now.
 
^Moulin Rouge was pushed wasn't it? Though they've had over a year in postproduction for this so it's probably a bad sign..

Bummer, I was looking forward to the promotional tour. This is by far the biggest film she has done so far..
 
I don't know if it was but I know it went to Cannes. Hopefully this follows a similar route because then this move will be somewhat justified. I think the budget is so high that they think that they'll have more of a chance to get that back during summer but this really isn't a summer film.

This. It's not a summer film, no matter how big and theatrical it is, I don't think it will fit nor do I think it will hold up very well next to big summer action flicks with a built-in following like "Man of Steel" and "Iron Man 3." I mean, it's Fitzgerald so it's got a following, but that's nothing compared to the superhero fanboys. I also don't think it's a good sign they are pushing it back. December was perfect time for this, but whatever. I could be wrong. I'm no industry insider.
 
New role.
Carey Mulligan is in negotiations to star in Nancy and Danny, a thriller being developed by Indian Paintbrush.

Set in a small town, the project concerns a money-hungry woman (Mulligan) whose big-city dreams failed. In order to land a high school crush, she uses a hapless man as a pawn in a get-rich-quick scheme that quickly goes wrong.

The project is said to be in the vein of To Die For, Gus Van Sant’s 1995 black comedy that featured a breakout performance by Nicole Kidman. Sources said Mulligan pursued the part.

Brad Inglesby wrote the script for Nancy, which is being produced by Alexandra Milchan of EMJAG Productions, Indian Paintbrush’ Steven Rales and Mark Roybal as well as Todd Field.

James Marsh, the filmmaker behind the acclaimed documentary Man on a Wire, is on board to direct. Brad Ingelsby wrote the script.

Mulligan, who last year co-starred in Drive and Shame, next will be seen in The Great Gatsby. The Baz Luhrmann-directed adaptation just moved its release date from December to summer 2013.

The actress is repped by CAA, Julian Belfrage and Ziffren Brittenham.

Well according to articles Gatsby being pushed back is because Tobey maguire has to reshot scenes, and that there needs to be more photography/special affects editing to the film. I hope that isn't just an excuse they're saying, and I hope those are the real reasons :p
