Carla appears on the Scully: The World Show at the end of the episode with Jack Welch as part of the CEO Series or interviews. Very surprised to see her because it's not a pop culture show really and it was about CEOs. They had her listed as "First Lady of France" and she talked briefly about modelling and fame, while smoking a cigarette, no makeup and dressed in a white sleeveless top. She looked very elegant and spoke very quickly.

She said that modelling although based on one's physical appearance, also gives one a voice. Once you become a model, and people interview and speak to you, you become more than just the physical. That she thinks actors have a much more difficult career; if a model is rejected for a casting it is because of something outward & physical, (like their eye color), something that's not a real reflection of your personality or intellect. However, actors are judged on something more; their physical appearance, their voice, their personality etc. That she enjoys reading good things about her in the press (I smiled at this, she does love attention after all), but when she reads bad things about her she is "destroyed." But there is nothing one can do about it, it's a part of celebrity.

I mean, I've been places where the US President has been and there are 10 cars and blacked out SUVs, a thousand cops and guys with machine guns everywhere within 10 miles of him!! And they can just walk the streets and shop, go out to eat...? Amazing...

Does anyone else find it odd that they can just cruise around? I mean, I've been places where the US President has been and there are 10 cars and blacked out SUVs, a thousand cops and guys with machine guns everywhere within 10 miles of him!! And they can just walk the streets and shop, go out to eat...? Amazing...

They're always surrounded by secret agents -who ensure their security.But those guys have been asked to be as discret as possible,so they Carla & Nicolas can have a life that is as normal as possible,regarding the circumstancies.
They live at her place during the week and at the Elysée Palace over at the week end.Carla is rumoured to have put her house for sale,and is supossedly looking for a new one,closer to the Palace.in the 8th arrondissement.

it also depends on the country and they do have people around, but dressed like normal people

Oh, I understand...But it is very different here- I mean, guys with guns at every intersection miles from the airport- war-time situation I guess...
Anyway, I love seeing them able to do things and enjoy their lives together! I bet she will be a very good First lady, you would have a hard time finding a more elegant and beautiful one!!
