Her considerable charms have won over everyone from Mick Jagger to Prince Philip.
So it comes as no surprise that yet another elder statesman should fall for Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.
Seated beside the French First Lady at a gala dinner in New York last night, even 85-year-old Henry Kissinger appeared thrilled.

The twice-married former American Secretary of State appeared unable to tear his eyes away from the former supermodel and the pair were seen chatting and laughing between courses.
Should her husband, Nicolas, who was seated on the other side, have been jealous however, the former supermodel, 40, had plenty of attention for him too.
At one point she tenderly stroked his brow in a very public display of affection.

Well done darling: Carla Bruni-Sarkozy congratulates her husband after he is declared the World Statesman of the Year in New York last night
It's not the first time Kissinger has been seen apparently chatting up one of the world's most glamorous women.
The politician was caught on camera enjoying a joke with the late Princess Diana, shortly before her death in 1997.
The French President, 53, was at the event in the restaurant Cipriani, where Sarkozy was given the '2008 World Statesman Award' by the Appeal of Conscience Foundation.

New York is the latest city to succumb to the brunette bombshell, who took London by storm on a state visit earlier this year.
During a three-day offensive, the Italian born model-turned singer-songwriter, won universal admiration for her stylish clothes and winsome manner.

The New York Post breathlessly reported that the couple went jogging yesterday in Midtown.
'Bruni turned heads in a skintight sports top that bared her washboard belly as the seemingly winded president struggled to keep up in an oversized soccer jersey that covered a pair of way-too-short shorts,' the newspaper said.
She also attended a luncheon for literacy at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and met with Queen Rania of Jordan and Rupert Murdoch's wife Wendi about ending maternal mortality.
