She was MUCH more beautiful when younger.

Now, sometimes her face freaks me out. Did she do something to it?

Carla and Camilla meet in Paris for an entente cordiale... and just look how smooth Sarkozy is

They beamed like the oldest of friends. The Duchess of Cornwall was greeted fondly by the First Lady of France when they met up in Paris last night.
Camilla and Prince Charles arrived at the Elysee Palace ahead of today's Armistice Day commemorations, marking the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
But the warmth of the welcome from French president Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni did not quell British concerns over a change of venue for the ceremony from Paris to Verdun.

Warm smiles: Carla Bruni and Camilla last night
British war veterans have condemned the decision to hold it in Fort Douaumont in Verdun, an exclusively Franco-German battlefield in north-west France.
Brian Churchcroft, a British veteran who fought through France in the Normandy campaign of 1944, said: 'It does seem odd that a battle which was nothing to do with the British is the focal point of commemorations.

Members of the royal family would certainly have been better off attending our own battlefields.'
A source close to the organisers said: 'The kind of dignified ceremony which has taken place in Paris for decades would have been perfectly appropriate.'

Oh la la... Carla Bruni demands bags emblazoned with her nude photo are taken off market and destroyed

on 14th December 2008
French First Lady Carla Bruni is demanding a fashion designer halts the sale of bags emblazoned with a nude photo of her taken when she was a supermodel.
The 40-year-old beauty claims use of the naked picture by French clothes company 'Pardon' constitutes the theft of her image.
The legal action comes only weeks after President Nicolas Sarkozy failed to have voodoo doll looking like him, sold with a pack of 12 pins, withdrawn from shops.

Legal action: A customer on French Indian ocean island Reunion takes a look at the Carla Bruni bag
The white canvas bags on sale on the French island of Reunion show a black and white image of President Nicolas Sarkozy's stunning Italian-born wife, with the slogan 'My man should have taken me shopping at Pardon'.
The company said it planned to begin selling the bags on mainland France in the run up to Christmas.
But Bruni's lawyer Thierry Herzog has asked a Paris court to order the company to destroy the bags and pay her £120,000 in damages.
He said: 'We want this bag withdrawn from sale and all stock destroyed.

Angry: Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy pictured on Monday at Elysee Palace in Paris at the 60th anniversary of the Universal Human Rights Declaration
'This is theft of Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy's image and both a moral and matrimonial attack.'
But company chairman Peter Mertes said use of Bruni's image was justified because she was a public figure.

He added: 'We have made 10,000 of them, which we sell or give away free to people spending money in our shops.'
Pardon caused controversy among French church leaders last year when it sold a female g-string decorated with a picture of the Virgin Mary.
The company has stores in five French cities and its headquarters on the Indian Ocean territory of Reunion.
A court will rule on Miss Bruni's demands next week.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy (L), his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, and former US President Jimmy Carter attends a ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the Universal Human Rights Declaration, on December 8, 2008 at the Elysee palace in Paris. Sarkozy called today on Zimbabweans President Robert Mugabe to step down, saying the time for negotiations was over and the people of Zimbabwe deserved better. The Elders group rendered a damning verdict on Mugabe's regime, saying it cannot lead the nation out of the humanitarian crisis.

Surely that company selling those bags is in violation of some sort of copyright laws? It makes me so annoyed that that photo of her is considered "raunchy" it's so far from it.

Bono should really get rid off these horrific boot!

I hate when they mention Carla's nude pics as if she was a p*rn star or something... Michelle Comte is probably one of the brightest starts of the contemporary photography, which by the way is a part of ART! it is just so silly! I hate it....

Carla looks wonderful as always...

You can like CB or not, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and there´s no way we can be "forced" to like someone. I understand why some french people may have concerns about the way she behaves, because she is in a way acting on behalf of their government.

But judging a woman because of her love life, or because she had her picture taken in the nude, is medieval.

It´s so sad to act as a moral police of others...

Let's get married... in TWO days: Carla Bruni reveals how she and Nicolas Sarkozy decided to get hitched at the last minute

on 19th December 2008
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has revealed that her wedding to President Nicolas Sarkozy was decided just two days in advance.
In a one-hour interview on French TV, Bruni-Sarkozy also recalled that she practised her curtsy for Britain's Queen Elizabeth with British rock singer Marianne Faithfull.
Carla Bruni In Complete Freedom, which was broadcast last night, reunited the president's wife with friends from her former careers as a model and singer-songwriter.

Wedded bliss: A day after the couple tied the knot at the Elysee Palace
Guests included French fashion designers Christian Lacroix and Jean Paul Gaultier, who created the Hermes dress she wore for her wedding in a small private ceremony in February.
The pair reportedly met at a mutual friend's dinner party in November of 2007 - barely a month after the end of Mr Sarkozy's stormy marriage to his previous wife, Cecilia.
The pair were married 80 days later in a whirlwind romance.
Bruni-Sarkozy said the wedding was decided just two days in advance, leaving her barely enough time to find a dress. She said she chose the cream Hermes knee-length dress off the rack in one of the brand's Paris stores.
She revealed she was nervous about meeting the Queen and was given specific instructions by diplomats on what to wear and say. She decided to curtsy to the British monarch, even though it is not obligatory for the wives of heads of state.

Royal visit: Carla Bruni-Sarkozy curtsies as she meets the Queen
'I really wanted to curtsy to the Queen, and we had a lot of fun with my friend Marianne Faithfull, who had already met the Queen,' Bruni-Sarkozy said.
'She (Faithfull) is a British citizen, and she showed me 50 different kinds of curtsies, including some that involved practically throwing yourself on the floor, and it was very funny. I did not imagine that people would talk about the curtsy that much afterwards,' she added.
Bruni-Sarkozy acknowledged she had toned down her naturally playful personality because of the negative criticism she drew when she first started seeing Sarkozy.
'There was a brief period when I was trying to be serious so that people would trust me and so they wouldn't worry, so they wouldn't say: "My God, what is the world coming to?",' she confided.

Marianne Faithfull showed Carla Bruni-Sarkozy how to curtsy

Lacroix said the television show was the first glimpse of her real personality.
'It's the first time that you see her as we know her,' he said, referring to the years when she modeled in his catwalk shows.
The president's wife raised eyebrows in July by releasing an album with lyrics mocking her reputation as a man-eater and comparing her lover to a class A drug.
She is donating her royalties from sales of the record to charity.
This week, she won 40,000 euros ($56,200) in damages from a clothing firm who had distributed bags bearing a nude image of her from her modeling days.
Bruni-Sarkozy said she stood '6,000 percent' behind the nude photographs she posed for in the past, saying they were 'works of art' shot by leading photographers such as Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton.
She also revealed that she enjoys reading celebrity magazines 'when I'm not in them.'
She said she did not mind interviewers asking her about her desire to have another child (she has a seven-year-old son from a previous relationship), but resented suggestions her stomach already looked pregnant.
'Isn't that rude? Now, I've completely cut out the beer,' she said with a laugh.

^ooh what does her half-sister look like? I've seen pictures of her father, and I think there is some resemblance, although Carla is almost a perfect copy of her mother.
