IMO, unless there's another pic that shows their footwear, I'll just assume that Kate is wearing heels and Carolyn is in flats. Carolyn did actually look to be 5'9 at the very least.

I agree, Carolyn was very tall. She had to have been over 5"9 easy. There was no way she was as tall as Kate Moss. I read somewhere she was 6 ft.

Thefrenchy, I noticed some of the VF photos on that site.

I read she was 6' too, but in heels she would have been taller than JFK Jr who I've read is 6'1". So that is why I started to wonder. She was very slender and carried herself so well I wonder if she appeared taller.

Also, #385 post is uncanny in how Gwyneth's looks echo /copy Carolyn's! Many of them are pretty "classic" looks and pieces, so it's difficult to say outright that they were copied. But we all have our style inspirations and maybe Carolyn is one of Gwyneth's. They both have / had the icy blonde, Hamptons thing going on after all!!

I don't think either of them were influenced. I don't think they are classic and stylish enough. Besides Carolyn was a fashion icon, but she didn't invent it (classic minimal style). But she is one of the few to master it. She also added her own twist by using unique cuts and textures of modernist designers.
