i think the high street will have a field day with:
greys (denim, sweater-dresses, bags and maybe shoes)
oxford ankle boots (higher, thinner heels than last fall, though still not stilettos)
solid tights, different textures
still volume on the dresses, hitting above the knee
high-waisted tight miniskirts
patent leather bags, jackets, shoes
berets
purple
lots and lots of dresses
i see the "skanky dress" being the high-street item of the season... i know alot of fashion forward college girls in nyc who are basically collecting dresses lately and there seems to be a big desire for a "hot, skanky dress"... this usually means something tight like the american apparel ones or a looser, baggier dress with a tighter hem and a slinky, risque top half. i guess its ironic and self-aware to an extent, a backlash against all of the empire waists and potato sacks they wore for the last three seasons.
also, i think the herve leger inspired dresses will start to make it to the mass-chains, but at a small volume and with simpler design than what the runway has shown.
