kachi, I agree with chiang1980, it really is a classic tote, and its very well made (nice leather, very sturdy, etc.) I also like the understatment of this bag. The CCs arent so "in your face" like some of the other chanels out there. The bag is a tad heavy I must admit, but it is a tote and carries alot.

I think it's 14" x 10" x 5".

I think it's 14" x 10" x 5".

that sounds right. and that is the larger size (which is the one AO has with the gold cc's). the one with the mademoiselle clasp comes in that size and a smaller size which is the same length and depth, but not as tall (like 7" high instead of 10").

its black with gold Cs, I think there are only 2 sizes in the cerf tote(?) please correct me if I'm wrong, but she got the larger one. Its a gorgeous bag. I def. recommend it to anyone who wants a timeless, chic, understated, sturdy bag.

How much did you all pay for the larger Cerf tote? I visited Bloomingdale's today in NYC and it's $1850!! I thought it was $1650? I should have gotten it but now I don't know. Is it worth that much for a Chanel bag? My friend said she has a cousin who works for a department store and she is getting a major double discount on everything in that store including Chanel!

I know! the price really went up! I remember going to Saks earlier this year and the price tag on the cerf was in the 1600's. When my mom bought it, it was in the 1800's! The prices are really going up...

All the Cerfs I have seen do come with their own dust bag. Based on the auction, it seems real. You should ask for a picture of the internal serial number tag. Also, try posting your question on the forum "Is this bag Fake/Authentic?". Good luck!

does anyone know if the cerf tote (the one with the CC on them) comes in different sizes? when i saw one in person, it was a spacious bag but smaller than i imagined.

Here's a picture of it. I used flash and the bag turned out to be really white. IRL, it's more ivory than white.

does the black one with a silver rectangle non-cc gumetal closure?
