I was in the Chanel boutique in Bev Hills and they had it in black, brown and beige. It's $1650.

also comes in pink and white. and chanel must have produced them en masse because all the stores now seem to have a lot of them. I suggest that anybody who's interested try to see it in person because it is very very plain (which is not necessarily a bad thing but not for everyone). the leather is nice and sturdy and I like the compartments -- a good work bag (or yoga bag if you're ashley olsen!). I could swear it seemed smaller than the original one.

what kind of pink is it? and what about the hardware?

I just returned my pink last week. It's a very bright pink with a touch of coral
to it. I've seen the same pink on the caviar bags, but not the lambskin. The hardware is gold. I returned it because it is not as wide as before, I think the old proportion was nicer. The compartments are great though and if you need a work tote it's a good option.

none of you have other pictures of the cerf tote? do any of you have any exact measurements on it? it looks like a nice size on ashley olsen but it seems like it would be too small of a bag for me to even consider...as i like VERY oversized totes....does it perhaps come in a larger size? also, how does the inside look? what is it lined in? does it have any pockets? how does the bag close on the top? is it like a birkin, with a top flap? or is it just an open-top tote?

I think it is a open tote..I'm not too sure though...maybe it has a zipper on top? I'm begining to think that the cerf is getting kinda boring...it's basically a black/tan/white/pink deer leather tote with gold CC logo...eh I dunno...it's very basic

too small for you. they downsized from the original, which wasn't that big to start with. I'm Olsen-sized and the bag is even on the small side for me -- more like handbag size rather than tote size, if that makes any sense. it does not come in a larger size. it's lined in fabric and I believe has full size open sections on either side of the main compartment (I could be off -- someone who actually owns this bag could give a more detailed description). the closure is a turnlock closure that goes through the small gold CC's on the front -- no flap. how about the cambon weekender? I think the grey CCs are so pretty.

it is very basic but I think that is part of the allure -- understated chic. you can't really go wrong with the shape and I'm sure it's superbly made. I just think that most people who want chanel will go for a bag that looks more like chanel, ya know?

exactly... i love the shape and the look of it ...not to mention that deerskin is my favorite leather ... i'd really like a cerf tote, but the size of it is the only issue. i wish they'd do it in a larger size ... like a weekender, perhaps ... something around 40-45cm would do.
