Chanel F/W 11.12 : Freja Beha Erichsen by Karl Lagerfeld

I like the concept behing it, could've been a really good fashion story but as an ad campaign i'm not convinced.

Chanel's campain is becoming better and better.love it sooooo much.

I agreed I like to see the change and this is a good example.

Why are there so many people dissing Lagerfeld for the photography? He's a GREAT photographer, maybe he's not up there with Inez & Vinoodh or M&M, but he's got talent. (although I don't like the magnum videos) But this ad took some getting used to, but when you think of it, Karl was trying to inject some edge into Chanel. When is the last time anyone has though of Chanel as androgynous? The androgyny essence has been in the brand for a long time discreetly, and Karl took it and made it real. Designers need to do something different every once in a while and Karl did it with the collection and the ad.

Love the colors and the posing,
And I love the clothes..a great and well done campaign.
Freja looks gorgeous!

I like it, But I wish it was different. They could have done an AMAZING Campaign with the Volcano/Apocalypse Now idea. (Pictures Stella rising from the Ash and Lava, with Freja Lounging on the Igneous rock's surrounded by molten magma! *this sounds like a p*rn movie*)

^ Yes: "Freja and Baptiste- Molten and Unrated" (The Director's Cut Rated XX) B)
But as hit and miss as this campaign is, I have grown to like many of them and Freja looks marvelous! :flower:

So many images have been released, is it a first in recent years for Chanel?

Im in love with this...i hated the first 2 photos but right now uts just perfect...loved the one in Vogue Paris (the 2nd one) and also from Vogue Russia!! This is problably the best work by Karl Lagerfeld in adds!!
