I think one of the reasons Chanel has kept up with the times is that Karl has kept it current and always gone with what is new while keeping with tradition instead of trying to mantain the snobbish exclusive image. Blake represents what is hot now, shes fresh beautiful has a girl next door vibe yet isnt exactly perfectly beautiful like maybe Angelina Jolie.

Well, she's a good looking girl. Is charming, cute, bubbly but I don't associate her looks with Chanel. The clothes, (atleast not the HC one) they're just not her to me. I see her more as a Dior kind of girl.

She's ok representing Chanel but she is not someone who comes to mind when you think of that brand a la Keira Knightley. She might be used as a medium to reach out to a new audience or to change/adapt the image of Chanel into a more contemporary vibe.

I agree with most of you, Blake's a pretty girl but her look doesn't scream Chanel to me. She doesn't carry that expensive, glamour look I associate with a Chanel girl.

When I first heard that she was chosen, I was not to excited. Even now after the campaign pictures have come out I am still so so about it. She is pretty but not the person I think of when it comes to campaigning for Chanel.

I really don't think so,yes the girl is good looking,all american beauty, but I don't think Chanel is about "hot people" she just doesn't come as an elegant ,classy, timeless, chanel lady to me.Every time I see her in a chanel dress, tux , etc I just feel like she's in costume So yeah,I don't think she's the right person to be the image of the brand.
