I'm sold. Though goodness knows thats way out of my price range, 40K is too rich for my blood. I'm still trying to get my Birkin
Its gorgeous though absolutely stunning. I wonder if Diane got to keep the bags from her campaign...

i'd rather get a prada nylon for 600!
and not to mention, the chanel canvas is supposed to look like leather from far away...kind of an insult because you know they must've thought about it...

I dont like this range by Chanel, its really dull and boring looking. The huge croc bag in the ad looks amazing though.
Ok. I popped into the Chanel on E57th and put my name on the list for the BIIIIIIIG Croc tote, they are only getting one and Im second on the list (WTF?) so...Im excited, I tried on the smaller size and I think the big would would be

i mean the bag isnt THAT special in my opinion,
coz to me,all well made croc bags are stunning
.........i mean, a nancy gonzalez croc tote which cost like 6k with the same size is STuNNING too!!well,just my pinion,but if you really like it and dont mind spending the money.....go ahead

I don't know what there is to roll eyes about ETRO, lOl.
For me, 45k is quite an amount. It's the money I spend for one year of college, and I'm also quite sure that with that money, I could....
-fly to a crocodile farm.
-pick a huge one (okay, maybe just a big one).
-get the leather, have it tanned & dyed.
-bring it to a top notch leather worker and have a huge bag with loads of accesoires done in that croc leather. Maybe even a pair of shoes (getting a pair of shoes custom made shouldn't cost so much, as the material is already provided)
SO.... under such circumstances, 45k is a lotta money.
Or think about it that way: You could buy everything that is in that gorgeous Vuitton Men Summer 07 catalogue.

Ya, 45k is alot of money but when I think about other things, it's really not that bad...That's funny though, how you broke down 45k, I remember breaking down 10k for the Birkin and saying how I can fly first class to Paris, shop, and stay at George V for less!

We were just a bit shocked, lol. C'est tout.
I can only think of Haute Couture pieces which can cost more. PAP rarely reaches that line. (well, as long as the piece isn't made out of Dodo leather... or something like it.)
Edit: In case you really want the bag and the NYC shops ain't getting them anymore, I could check for you in the Viennese Chanel shop. Except when a group of crazy russians/chinese/japanese people snatched them already, I believe that the waitlist here could still be empty.
