Don't care much for the collection - I like some of jewelry but very little of the clothes. Nice setting, as always.

I'm starting to really like the resort collections more than the actual RTW ones... They seem so much more creative and rich. More extravagant. It really transports you in an other culture, it just always amazes me.

I loved the draped skirts, the gowns at the end, and in love with the jewelry. I wish I could rock the nose to ear chain.

Wow this collection is superb. Karl has clearly paid attention to the Indian culture and in particular they create their clothes. It really does a wonderful job at evoking their culture.

Why can't he do this sort of thing for his RTW? This is absolutely gorgeous. It's everything the Chanel woman is about and it just oozes with richness and a real unobtainable glamour. And like most of his pre-falls, the clothes are rich with detail and little additions, despite the fact that the setting is already so lavish.

It's because the pre-collections are done by the Haute Couture Ateliers (Metier d'Arts). And it shows. Thats also why some pre-collection dresses are 30k in the stores.

I need to watch the show but I'm not going to do it now - admittedly, from the photos, I am quite disappointed - it's classic Chanel, but I really didn't feel the Raj influence behind it, it was quite plain.
The best pieces came towards the end in handkerchief dresses painted like classic Indian floral paintings.
I was expecting a lot more extravagance from Lagerfeld, indeed, though the fit and the quality is beautiful, I'd have preferred something a little bit more gimmicky - it's Lagerfeld and the pre-fall collection's license!

chanel targets asian markets, like chanel-shanghai collection, just for money.
dont be fooled by its official we love cultures slogan.
maybe next time, chanel company should make up story like coco chanel had connection with india, Thailand, taiwan, etc.
duh, winning.

Regarding the collection, some pieces are good, but there were two things that I loved about it, the jewerly and seeing Audrey Marney on the runway...

Oh, I don't think many are, Karl himself didn't show much love and interest for Chinese culture when he was showing in Shanghai two years ago.
