Chanel Summer 2005 ... TV Belt

caught between the chaos and spectacle of chanel's spring/summer 2005 runway presentation was this little gem that was essentially overlooked by everyone in attendance.... exactly what every beach-bound socialite needs this summer: chanel's televison belt. i was reminded of this technological marvel last night as i watched the chanel show in its entirety. as these two models came out i couldn't help but laughing. leave it to karl to present to us something this ridiculous. and yes, there was video playing on the screens as the models walked.

Karl didn't come up with this. It was showed during a tech convention where, I forget who, had people walking around the convention wearing these with adverts being displayed on them.

Karl did them for himself for fall. Except they scroll Karl Lagerfeld in different ways. There is a website that makes the scrolling belts, Id get one from there if I cared enough.

Chanel did the whole mobile-video thing before this, for thier Vendanges event they had rollerskaters with LCD screens attached to thier back skate around Paris, don't know what they were playing.
