Charlene Wittstock, Princess of Monaco | Page 30 | the Fashion Spot

Charlene Wittstock, Princess of Monaco

^That's really harsh. I've seen pictures of Charlene before surgery (or I guess they're before surgery) and she hasn't changed that much. She was cute before, in a very girl-next-door way.

Fashion-wise, she's wearing dresses that doesn't accentuate her shoulders, and strapless dresses are great for that. She's not boring, of course she's playing safe with her outfits but she sometimes wear eye-catching shoes or accessories, or even outfits. She has worn some beautiful gowns. I fail to see what's not elegant about her tbh.

^ Completely ridiculous...she was in Sports Illustrated back when she was swimming and she was a very attractive young women...

There's a big difference. For me anyway, i'm not expecting everybody to see it.
She did worn nice gowns, but she still has to work on her fashion choices. It's not about wear Armanis or Akris and automatically she becomes an elegant woman out of nothing.

It's obvious she had work done. However, it's done well and somebody unknown to her, will not see it. Contrary to, let's sat, Nicole Kidman or Megan Fox.

Hated her dress at the Red Cross gala. It looks stiff and the color comes right out of something someone would have worn at a high school prom, in my opinion. The jewelry is stunning though.

^Come on, this is unfair, you took two unflattering pictures. You're probably biased as you don't find her beautiful, but there is pictures out there where she looks way better and even before surgery.
I don't see the link between her only wearing Armani and her not being elegant? She's elegant because of how she carries herself.
Also, what's the big deal if she only wears two or three brands? Carla Bruni is all about Dior and Chanel, and she's one of the most stylish woman I know.

Charlene wore tons of outfits. Tons of very interesting and different outfits. Yes she tends to play it safe for "big" events and love strapeless dresses but those are nothing "boring". They are all very different in shapes, colors, patterns, texture. I believe she has an eye for details (hence her wedding dress) She has an awesome off duty style for someone who truly had no clue in fashion 5 years ago, she is insanely elegant, and at least for me much better than the Duchess of Cambridge who got - at least IMO - unnecessarily praise. She had to adapt to several environment and different custom very early in her life in SA and in France and IMO she did a great job.

That being said I particularly adore her off duty style, I think she has the very effortless chic style à la Charlize. She also doesn't only wear Armani, at all, she wore Chanel, she wore Akris, Cavalli and tons of others. Plus, the last page alone prove you that she doesn't only wear strapeless dresses, point here at the 50th Anniversary of the Stade Nautique Prince Rainier III

Well, this dress is nice. But she does wear strapless all the time. Who knows, maybe someone told her, "enough of strapless already, go on with other choices".
I don't think Charlene or Kate choose their outfits. Charlene and Kate don't have a clue about fashion, and i think other people pick their outfits for her.
This time she looked nice, she doesn't look like this everytime.

So she had plastic surgery. Big deal.

I liked her dress from the concert, but the sandals not so much.

Why did you add "What a joke"?
Yes, she had some work done, i just put it to show that she is not naturally beautiful. Big deal.

I think she was already really attractive pre-surgery. But the whole surgical changes are really well done, I must say.

None of her wedding dresses were strapless's ones. And if you look closely at her style since appearing in the public eyes I can assure you they weren't all strapeless :p As for being elegant what I meant is : she has an amazing way of carrying herself. I am sure if she decided to put some McQueen she'd have the confidence and fire to wear it, she is bold, maybe she is not so loud but she is bold.

I don't think Charlene or Kate choose their outfits. Charlene and Kate don't have a clue about fashion, and i think other people pick their outfits for her.
She also said times and times again that she didn't know anything and in the early days she wore whatever striked her fancy, then she met Armani, models and other designers and she learned. She is growing, finding herself and IMO she is doing a fantastic job.

This time she looked nice, she doesn't look like this everytime.
Just like everyone else, Charlize Theron's early outfit were disastrous too. I am more likely to praise Charlene because she can't be raised as a "fashion icon", she has to "compete" with Grace Kelly & Caroline of Monaco and those 2 are as hard as Lady Di esp in a place like Monaco where it's all about the glamour.

A site that promotes lies, harassment, and hatred of an individual they do not personally know is a joke in my opinion. :flower:

Second, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some believe that she was naturally beautiful prior to her having surgery. Others, not so much.

Personally, I thought she looked fine before; however, I do believe she went too far. Having surgery is not a big deal. Why people (not you) become so enraged because she did is so incredibly strange.

BACK TO FASHION:
I don't mind seeing her wearing strapless gowns, but it would be nice to see her back off that style for a while. :flower:

This is what i meant. I (maybe i'm wrong) see her many times wearing strapless. It's nice when she decides to change to go for other kind of dresses, like this last one. Which is a beatiful one, btw.
I'm not too fond of the sandals, but overall is ok.

I think some of the ps she has had done has worked well but some of it seems to have been taken too far which is a shame because she's very far from unattractive IMO. Most of her clothes are to die for IMO - she's got one of the best wardrobe's of a current royal, I think. That might have something to do with Albert being filthy rich but I find her style quite consistent so there might be more to it than that :flower:

WTH? She always dresses like she's on holiday...Maxi dresses, pants and sandals, she should wear more tailored attire. It would make her look like she's actually taking the position she's in seriously.

I don't agree. She is starting to feel her way around fashion with some hits and some misses. I think that Rania of Jordan has one of the best royal wardrobes. Princess Caroline used to, but it seems that now she dresses for herself, not her position. Charlene is very attracted to sleeveless or strapless gowns and dresses, blouses too. That look is a bit repetitive. She has access to the best fashion houses in the world and has expressed interest in fashion so I think that with time, she will find her own style and do quite nicely. Charlene said that she helped design the light blue suit with a full length trouser/skirt for her civil marriage ceremony. The Lagerfelds, Armanis, Valentinos, McCartneys of the fashion world are artists and expert at what they do. Undoubtedly couture houses appreciate input from their client but I hope that Charlene does not try to design her own outfits.

"Charlene has the best royal wardrobe"???? seriously....
I can pick many other royal members who dress much better than her: Rania of Jordan, Mary of Denmark, Carolina, Kate and even Matte-Marrit!
Of course Charlene is not ugly, but I don't like her plastic face and her style is most of the times so boring and repetitive. I can't find a look that blowed me away!

^She said one of the best royal wardrobe. She had some great outfits.

The blue dress at the Amfar gala is heaven, imo. And the sandals she wore with that casual outfit are awesome too.
What I like about her, is that she takes a risk. She doesn't play it safe, like Maxima doesn't play it safe with colors and Mary always looks fashionable. Kate and all the others can be so beige, for lack of another word.

She doesn't wear strapless all the time. She wears it the majority of the time, but I can think of plenty of dresss, cocktail and full length that she wore, prior to and after marrying that weren't strapless.

And it's obvious you hate Charlene from the pics you post as well as how you word your opinion. It's okay to hate a person, but those of us who enjoy her will still enjoy her regardless.
