Child-like Style

I just love the child-like look, I think it's so cutesy ^_^!! I've always imagined designing a collection based on and inspired by my, my sister's and my cousin's childhood, even though I'm no designer.... yet ;).

And by the way, great pics everyone!! :flower: There's this baby pink and black polka dot cardigan my cousin owned that I'd just love to have now!! :woot: And this white, baby blue, baby pink and baby yellow jellybean-print tunic that I used to wear with baby blue tights and white ankle strap sandals..... ^_^ Oh, and these little striped braces with bunnies we used to wear..... I'm loving this thread, you guys!! :flower:

looked her up on google...(I couldnt get the link to work on tfs)... I couldnt find a whole lot just by quickly looking. But I'm assuming that the Mary Quant was a huge influence for the comics that I posted on the last page...

ack! I always forget we have this thread!

Dressing 'childlike' is very where i'm at right now. Putting my hair back with a fun barrette or wearing very sort of 'childish' tees but mixing that with something a lot more grown up. Mixing proportions so some things seem huge and others small.....I quite like all the juxtapositions myself.

Didn't Mary Quant invent the mini skirt? I think I learned that in school..

 This is the best spot on tFS... LOVE IT !!! I am completely inspired by my own experience as a child, and working with children, their spirit constantly influence me...
Well done- love the thoughts, love the posts!

^to be honest,I completely agree,Mullet. The last few posts,to me,look more grown-up Mod than child-like. In this, there should be a literal connotation(even if uber-subtle)of naivete like what you posted and what's been posted in previous pages.

yeah I agree too, but it's fun to see peoples thoughts as to what is. So I still like them.
