I love this trend, but with my body shape, I feel like I'd look like a cheap hooker if I wore some of this stuff....:(

with my face and height i'd look like a 10 year old.

thanks for the new posts!!!!! they're lovely.

The peter pan collar is my absolute favourite! especially love all the pieces in post#421. They're so youthful and romantic, I can't get enough.

I really like the child-like style. I do find that people always think I am younger than I am. I am 20 and people thought I was 15.

I think this style can look really cute on some women when it's done right.

We don't have any threads like you mentioned, but it would be interesting to see! Especially looking into what is advertised to children and what influences styles, than 'kid celebrities style' (which like you said is maybe non-existent). Feel free to start one
I do remember seeing some designs in the Aspiring Designers thread in CEBF forum, they were for the children's market. I think the colour story was from Harry Potter
So... Do we have a thread like this?

So... Do we have a thread like this?
late reply.. no, it was never started, but feel free if you want to make one.
we also have a children's costume history thread in the subforum History of Style under Designers&Collections, where you could be able to talk about related topics/stories...

I only like it in a grunge way aka distorting it into punk rock style if not they might be a bit wrong in a way... it depends what kind of piece we are talking anyway i like the trashing children style or even hippiesque but not sure about the preppy one...

^Ooo, I like that idea, ediewho. B)

I would love to dress sort of childish but with my bangs, it makes me look younger.

Could that be the goal? That with a hint of "childish" clothing pieces that we make ourselves look a bit younger.

I like to dress that way too. But you have to be careful not to look stupid. Ive got a very young and sort of doll-like face so I tend to look to childish.
But nevertheless I like the style, but it doesnt suit everyone

i think so too, it's a great idea ediewho...
'trashing' /trashy children style :p i guess you have 'lolita' that does that, but it would be interesting if you had any pictures of grunge or punk rock

(I hope this is not out of topic but you asked for some samples...:innocent:)

I looove the doll-like, teaparty-esque dresses. Anything with lace and frills are also a bonus!
