Chloe F/W 07.08 Paris

don't get me wrong. i do like many pieces in this collection. but the chloe identity is not there. rather, it's more marni. i just hope future collections will represent chloe a bit more. i welcome fashion-forward ideas, but not at the cost of losing the chloe identity.

i agree, if it hadn't been for the thread title i would have assumed this was marni. some of it is nice, but it's all wrong for chloe! the boots though are heinous.

well I don't hate this but can't say I'm pleased with their new direction.

The Marni influence was pretty expected I guess, and aside from the horrible shoes I don't think it's that bad. But I would've prefered to see something new for Chloé, not a sequined Marni light.

Wow... I actually love it. Im and old school Chloe fan, dedicated and true. However, even as a fan I started to get bored of Chloe's look the past few seasons. I think its a great start in a new direction and will only get better.

As for the boots. Im gonna give them some time. I reckon it will only take on celebrity wearing them out and about to make them popular!

Dunno about the black/red color scheme, but I like the "harder" look, looove the shoes and the prints are just beautiful!

The yellow/green dress on Freja:wub:

chloe is my favorite brand nd it's ruined.it's not chloe, its marni now.nd i love certain marni pieces, but leave chloe alone!!!!
so disappointed

The shoes are too hideous, TRY too hard to be innovative, but fails. It is not that I have anything against Paulo (New designer).
This is overtly not Chloe, and I do not want to see Marni at Chloe. In other words, I want Yvan back for Chloe.

It's like a last season's Chanel, but with worse fits and done badly. They could have done so much better.

There are a lot of classic Chloé cuts mixed with a lot of colors and textures this fashion house has not seen in a long time. It's nice and refreshing, but I don't know. I kind of like the blandness and dantiness that's been going on for a few seasons.

It almost sounds as if we are talking about mobsters working for different gangs.
I bet they made Yvan an offer he couldn't refuse :shifty:

Exactly. I completely agree. This collection is trying to be different and move away from the old Chloe aesthetic, but it just ends up going in the wrong direction.

This piece is DEFINITELY something Marni'ish, lol :

style

And what's with the use of black, white and red together?! I think it's the worst color combination possible and yet its used in the ENTIRE collection. It doesn't look chic at all.

And the shoes....are....a joke. I think Paulo used them to represent a "tougher woman" with "street edge" ; but in my opinion, it ends up looking like a Marc Jacobs F/W 06/07 rip.

Oh and I don't even want to think about who they will get to star in the advertising campaign. Horrible.

Everything was horrible - it was too Marni and too New York for my liking.

I like the boots, but they don't suit being at Chloe. Chloe has gone too random now.
