Our intern
Chloë has more
style in her little finger...
[/font]Last March we spotted 17-year-old Chloë on a NYC street in her signature corduroy overalls and haven't let her alone since. First we made her model for "Body Talk" [June '92], "Put It On" and "You're A Nut" [both July '92]; now we're having her work in our office, sticking mailing labels on things and stuff. Her tastes are ever-varied - she'll try anything, then get bored and move on. Three weeks to the day after this very shoot, Little Miss Fickle shaved her head. "I always wore my hair up in a hat anyway," she shrugs. Her current interest is the skater look. She says, "It's all very loose and comfy" (and may have something to do with her current interest in skaters). Where does she get her clothes? "I never miss a tag sale or walk past a thrift shop without going in. You can get good cheap stuff that no one else will have. And I never throw anything away - you never know when you'll be in the mood to wear something." The Darien, CT dweller ("It's so small and conservative") also makes her own hats: "I never find ones I like. This patchwork one [above] took about a half-hour." What a little fashion dynamo.
