High Art at the Brooklyn Museum, Part 1 [food art]

Last night at the Brooklyn Museum the worlds of art, food and fashion united to celebrate High Style with a dinner curated by Jennifer Rubell, whose food-art installations have redefined benefit dinners. Below, we dish on who was there, what they did, and most importantly, what they ate.

During cocktail hour, we caught Chloe Sevigny teetering over a bed of carrots inspired by Vito Acconci's 1972 Seedbed, fetching then washing and drying her hors d'oeuvre in a metal tub while balancing a Martini glass in one hand. Mario Batali arrived with his two sons and Del Posto chef Mark Lardner in tow.
