This is what every other person is wearing on the street in New York City right now. Vintage denim jacket or vest or shorts, combat boots, bucket bag. So she is very trendy. B)
I'm in New York at the moment and I don't think that anyone wears things the way that Chloe does so thats why I don't think she's trendy. Denim jacket/vest/shorts is pretty broad - everyone has always worn those!!!
exactly! she was a trendsetter not a trend follower, why should we say she needs to change now, when her style has been more or less consistent for the last 15 years!
Thank you! The definition of a hipster is someone who is overly concerned with being hip. Chloe has never cared about being hip. I think the problem is it's become "hipster" to wear anything different. Basically, all vintage clothing is now considered "so hipster." But Chloe was wearing vintage back when it was weird to do so. She stood out. Now that it's not weird but hip people accuse her of having lost that edge. It's just that now her PERSONAL style has become "hip".
Hmm, I don't think she's always been this grungy. Mainly in the '90s, but I actually liked her '90s grunge style. Her 'vintage' 70s-inspired style throughout the most of the noughties was her one of her best periods and she most certainly wasn't dressed like a grunge reject like she has been lately. This hasn't always been her style. She's had phases like many people.
Take this look, for example:

This is just about the only denim jacket look of hers that I can stand. Mainly because she didn't overdo it with the edginess. A perfect balance of elegance, quirky and edgy. She used to have this quirkiness that is now missing in her looks lately. It's just edgy edgy edgy. To me, it's boring boring boring. Mainly because she looks like every hipster who works at Topshop. I'm kind of sick of seeing her in Opening Ceremony. Would love to see her in Miu Miu, Lanvin, Versace and Prada again!
i like the dress, but the shoes are too much with it. should've gone bit more simple in the shoes apartment cus the dress is already "too complicated".
now thats what i call personal style. atleast she doesn't pay people to dress her to appear pleasant to standers "society look".
you look hotter then ever chloe
I've never been a big fan of her style before, but lately I feel tired of looking like everyone else. So now I'm going to pay more attention to her styling, in hope she'll inspire me to mix it up more and have fun with my personal style. I need to get out of my safe zone.
