I just got the appleguard spray today and have sprayed all of my bags, first testing on a little piece of hidden leather. I was wondering if I should spray my python silverado? Has anyone here does this to a python bag?

I RECEIVED my SILVERADO

I am so happy today! I just received my silverado python. I think some girls may remember I was thinking to go ahead with a yahoo auction deal for a python silverado (1st version) for 1000US or not ... and Finally I go ahead!

I received this bag today.. ( just 10 minutes ago) It is authentic and so pretty!!!! I quickly took some pics on her... I am planning to use it tonight...

COngrats! Glad you went with your gut feeling and just bought it... from pictures that you showed us earlier, it was quite obvious it was an authentic. And its a bargain for the amount you paid!

I am sooo happy. Actually I saw it from yahoo auction Hong Kong and the seller is currently selling a lot of clothes and brand name handbag and shoes.. but since the price is so cheap and I dont feel very confidence... but I decided to go ahead since it looks ok from the photo and the seller allows me to do a 2 -payment plan which I paid her like 80% of money and she sent me the bag.. if everything ok.. i paid the 20% after I received. so it is kind of fair...

I was trying to talk to you out coz I wasn't sure if the seller was trust worth but in the end up you made the right dicision and what a good deal you got. hehe i need to thanks for all the suggestion and opinion u gave me before~~ Actually if the seller dont offer me a 2 -payment plan I wont consider this bag.. but since she will send out the bag once she received the 1st payment it offer me some protection... and she looks very confidence too.

I also think the bag looks more pretty from my PHOTO~ !!

Hey ladies. I have the medium tan leather Silverado and took it out for its debut the past two days. It is a cool bag, but the leather is not as indestructive as my Paddington. I had to be super careful with the Silverado. I know the inside shell is supposed to be scratched and scuffed, and the outside shell more tough and durable. The real problem is the straps that go around the bag. I don't know how they became discolored in areas but they did, and I had to smooth it all over with Apple Leather Care which seemed to help. But they still have shadings of lighter and darker color on them. I love the bag, but is this usual for the leather Silverado? Mine is from the fall collection - outside shell buffalo, inside shell calf leather.

Also, is the large tote the same type of leather, or different? In pics it looks different. I was thinking of doing an exchange if I can find one.

Hi Roey. I just received the medium chocolate silverado. The straps that go around the bag do vary a bit in terms of color, but the tones look quite natural. Nordstroms at South Coast Plaza had both large and medium silverados in August. I would say that the leather was the same for both sizes, although the shade, tone, and texture did vary a bit from bag to bag.

I have a tan/cognac coloured Fall 1005 Silverado and I sprayed my bag with Kiwi Protect All before I started carrying it outside. Thanks (and to SoCal too!). Great pics, and the oils from the hands make sense. I was rubbing my fingers over the straps to smooth out the spotting and noticed the area became darker as I rubbed. So, I guess I will keep the Appleguard handy to protect against shading and surface scratches!

bagqueen - is the red silverado the "terracotta" that was the f/w 05 color? i bought that one several weeks ago and it's wearing well.. some fingernail scratches on the inside part (my fault entirely) but one of my favorite bags still..
