FWIW, I called Chloe NY on Saturday, and the SA said that they just got in a large shipment, so I should be getting a call on Monday afternoon about the Paddington (I'm about #20 on the waitlist :-). We'll see... Ironically, in hindsight, it seems as if I was in the right place at the right time for the brown python Silverado ... I happened to be in NYC for major dental work at NYU in October and stopped at Chloe later in the day to ease my pain LOL! (Nothing like shopping on Madison Avenue to help the novocaine wear off...) They just happened to have one in stock and I pounced!

Whats the net a porter waitilist? I thought the same as Lady Muck..but I read an article saying that they had 700 people waiting for it already there

Also, I agree, i hope the Paddingtons wont be the next Balenciaga motorcyle bag because to be honest Im not as excited bout the Paddingtons as much as I was since they are so stressful to get hold of and all this waiting for them is kinda tedious

Guess that means I had better have a really good internet connection.
But you are right, all this running around, waiting, worrying..is really taking the fun out of owning a bag.
Makes me really feel like giving up..I mean, think of the other things I can buy with the money meant for this bag

Yes, from what I understand the NYC store will be calling everyone who will get a bag by the end of the week. We'll see......

Meanwhile, if Chloe doesn't come through, there's a cute Tod's as well as a Ferragamo, along with the Mulberry. If not, I'll just keep carrying my python Silverado and save the $$$$.

I'm taking the offensive and calling tomorrow to find out what's what. I guess I've seen enough options out there that if Chloe doesn't want my $$$ I'll go elsewhere. (Tod's, Gucci, BV, Fendi and others have some realy cute bags for Spring...)

Or simply find a brown bag and attach a huge gold lock from sears to it ...if you want it's probably possible to etch in "Chloe" on the lock

LOL!!! Guess we've been around enough to circumvent the hype. I love terrific bags, but enough is enough... At this point in my life (when I can finally afford these things) I simply don't need all of the drama. (Whew, maybe I'm just getting cynical in my cranky old age

If it comes it comes....I will be taking my $$$ elsewhere I think.
The Paddington is cute, but not worth the grief.

it seems like the chloe boutique in nyc isn't too concerned about keeping customers too much... it's just like take it or leave it... and esp in the case of these bags i doubt they're gonna really go out of their way for a customer, unless you're kirsten dunst or nicole richie or something. some of the SAs there seem really snooty

I agree its so not fair that celebs especially like Kirsten Dunst and Sienna are probably getting their bags first and for free!! And OrchidLady..Im getting just as cranky as you - I blame it on the Paddingtons!

well, just to let you guys know, i called chloe NYC boutique today, and they said they just got a shipment in which they have not opened yet... so i guess it could be any day now. oh, the suspense is killing me.

Me too!! Im case I do get a paddington..which color do you prefer..dark brown or tan?

I like dark brown but a friend mine has a tan, which looks like butter, so gorgeous.
