Ok, I have done it.

I have bit the bullet and ordered the brown silverado from luisaviaroma - working on blind faith that it will be nicer than its pictures.

Visualised it several times in my mind and I figured you can't go wrong with a brown silverado... :innocent: :ninja:

When is it expected to arrive? You definately will have to post pics! BTW - I thought that they could not export python?
 
End of September - waiting for such a long time is definitely the hardest part, but luisaviaroma is definitely one of the cheapest places to buy a python silverado.

They ran out of licenses to export python last time, but with the new collection, they should have enough to go around hopefullly.

And I kinda drummed into their brains that I am going to order one and I don't live in Italy so I guess they should have taken care of that.....
 
Well, you have three months to cancel if more pictures come out and you find you actually don't like it. In the meantime, at least you can rest assured that you will have one... Congrats!
 
Congrats Edna, Valerie and Chiangsi on your gorgeous new additions!

Edna - so glad you were able to find another Natural after your earlier fiasco. Yay!

Valerie - the Rose is really such a soft, beautiful color in person (so much prettier than it looks in pictures too) - I'm sure it will look absolutely gorgeous with your pale skin!

Chiangsi - I think you did the right thing ordering the Brown while you could. Luisaviaroma's pics usually make every single bag look bad even when they're great, and this way, you'll be assured of getting one. I have a feeling it'll turn out beautiful IRL.

Hope you have fun making new outfits with them and enjoy them!

Thanks to everyone for all your help. I finally got my bag today. :D But I need your help again. Is it just my paranoia or are the python scales supposed to be a little bit curly? I've never seen one in real life except for now, and to me, some of the larger scales near the leather snap seem to be curling and turning wrinkly at the edges. As well as the ones on the edges of the bag and on the right side pocket. Some of the edges of the leather spiraling on the handles look a little dark, as if the bag has been held a lot, as oppposed to only slightly dark. (or not dark at all) like towards the bottom of the handle.

To those with a natural python, did yours come the same way, or has it gotten that way?

I really hope it's just my paranoia, as I would really hate to return it and try to find another! :(

Here are some pictures of the scales and of the bag. Let me know what you all think! Is it impossible to find a perfect Python Silverado without seeing it first?

Mine dont have the scales like that but a bit of bending is natural... and it dont look bad at all, you are paranoid girl!

Just enjoy it! :D

What are you planning to wears yours with?? i find that mine never suits jeans..

I have a large and its not perfect either (mine came from Bergdorf's on-line). No doubt some of the "curling" may be the result of the bag being handled in the store (this is the end of the season for the bag), but on the other hand, python skin by its nature is not flat like leather. This is much better than the gold I received - underneath the scales was obviously black which looked terrible. So, I'd keep it unless you think you will be driven crazy by the scales. :innocent:
 
That's a nice bag edna and I don't think you should be too paranoid..just enjoy it Congrats :)
 
Edna, it's beautiful. I don't think you're being paranoid at all, but yours looks exactly like mine and I don't consider it defective at all. I received mine on the first day the store received it (so it hadn't been out on the floor or handled excessively) and my scales are curling mildly just as yours are. As a matter of fact, when trying to spot fakes on Ebay, one way to distinguish a replica is that the fake "scales" look formed, smooth, hard and flat at the tips.

Obviously it's not a bag you can just throw around and you do have to be kind of gentle with it to avoid any additional damage, but yours is absolutely gorgeous, so I would just be happy and enjoy it!
 
Thank you all for reassuring me! :heart: I think I will definitely keep it. I'm so happy that I finally got my hands on one. I couldn't have done it without all of your help.

Pucci_mama, I haven't tried it on with different outfits yet, but that will keep me occupied for hours tonight!

Valerie, I can't wait to see pictures of your Rose. I don't think I have seen one in that color yet.

Chiangsi, definitely post pictures when you finally receive your Brown when you receive it!

Edna, do not to worry about the condition of your bag!
I think it's really lovely and a few scales will curl on your silverado after a while and yours is really mild.
It looks yummy and wild..... :buzz:

Yup, pictures...once I get my brown one in Sept...
 
^^ Yes it is they have one left in Medium size and the owner 'Leena' is super nice...not that I'll get a comission from her in saying that but from my experience dealing with her was a pleasant.

Hope you like the new brown and hope that the real bag is much nicer than in the pic same as my two tones one.

Wow, that maroon color looks amazing! It's dark so it's not as flashy as I thought it would be. I could see it going well with a lot of different outfits.
