Chloe 'Silverado' Bag

Oooo...my mistake then.... Apologies for the confusion. klow-chloe, thanks for clarifying that and jolting me out of the "mistaken-name" la-la land! ^_^

The Large leather that I'm considering is in the light pinky beige of the tote in the background of the maroon picture ^_^

Oh...btw, I thought that the Bronze, with its brown leather should be considered part of the brown family. So I've revised the browns montage...

^
The tote bag in the maroon silverado picture does seem lighter....
I think I am falling in love with the maroon, it is such a lovely reddish brown..dare I say it looks like mahogany to me?

Anyone know if it is still possible to get a chocolate brown from summer? :(

I would think of the bronze as a "metallic brown"

There are some new pics on Ebay now which is makes the bronze look very flattering:

^^ You have to ring around when I was trying to get the two tones back then around end of April there were some of the boutiques still had the choc brown but I'm not sure now if they still have it. I doubt it though.

^^ I still love the original brown so much. Too bad it is impossible to get now! Is the two-tone brown as hard to get as well?

There is one medium two tones listed on ebay asking for BIN USD$2600.00, item #6776135166. I think the seller is asking too much - imo. I think better of try to get from the boutique.

Thank you. My friend actually loved it too, and she usually hates bags with too much going on. But she said it reminded her of a dragon...?? Whatever, I was just impressed that I got a compliment out of her!

its so pretty... it does look like rose petals a little bit you know, all the scales. :flower:

This is a pic from ebay. Did this bag come in red or is this a good fake? seller says purchased at Harvey Nichols.

the scales don't seem natural, they don't seem to "bend" in a natural way..

and the proportions look at bit off... for me :ninja:

Plus, its just plain UGLY! :yuk: You are right though, the scales look like they are "printed" on the leather. I hope no one gets scammed by this seller. He posted a copy of a receipt with the bag (not that you can see what the receipt says).

Yeah, the scales on that look really flat. Plus, the red is so uniform in its shade. Most of the pythons I have seen have a gradient change of dye throughout the leather, such as on mine, and on the natural, and the browns.
You could email Chloe maybe and find out if they ever had a red?

it looks to me like the authentic bags use 3 pieces of python skin to make up one side, that purse looks like one big piece... the variant isn't there either.

That's the fake one there are a lot of ebay sellers are selling it likes an authentic one.:furious:

The scales just look kind of flat and artifical to me, I think you should be careful.

No worries, I am not going to bid. I posted this primarily because I can't believe the audacity of some of the people selling fake bags - the fake receipt is too much.

I know what you mean. And the sad thing is, some of the Silverado fakes are pretty good. If you haven't seen one in real life, or you don't inspect the bag carefully, it is easy to end up with a fake.

And that's just for those who are "honest" enough to post pics of the actual bag that they are selling... :(
