Chanel F/W 2016.17 Paris

Probably the worst Chanel collection I've ever seen, I think I liked one look.

How can Karl Lagerfeld have been working in the fashion industry since the 14th century and still not know how to flatter a woman? or even a man?
If it wasn't the silhouettes that was awful it was the lengths, or the balance between the lengths.. or just the abominable hats.

i loved the start, then it got a bit dull could have removed about 30 looks or so :P

Looking at the details, I´d have loved for Karl to use Murakami´s designs more prominently.

Same.

As I was clicking through I started thinking, if I was forced to wear one of these 94 looks which one would it be -- tough call, they're all seriously hideous.

those hats are so unflattering. I found more than one looks that I liked, but that's still small compared to the number of looks in the collection. On a high note, even though there is still a disproportionate amount, this cast was diverse by Chanel standard. What happened to the set this time? I was looking forward to that more than the clothes.

This brought me back to the old Chanel, absolutely loved it, but PLEASE Karl, bring back the raunchyness!!! I want to see the leather quilted skirts and the bikini top with the pearl's. Give me that and some beautiful gowns.

^Takashi Murakami is an artist, he´s fashion famous for having worked with LV in a series of bags. If you look at details of the accessories you can see his signature daisy with a happy face. I think it would have been nicer if Karl would have used his design for the blouses prints, as I don´t think those are by Murakami are they?

You see he's a vampire, so no one questions him or else he drinks their blood.

Really though, he did at some point make great designs and as he kept getting more and more famous and powerful he gained the status of untouchable. So no one criticizes what he does, and without the feedback of knowing what's bad and good, he doesn't always make the best clothes

Ooh thanks I've used a phone keyboard with his design then ^,^ a pink lv one
.. hmm yea it looks like he used just one print by him. The same one on both the bags and blouses, just different sizes. I see flowers with a cat and hand (peace sign), shamrock-- they look like emoticons.. Do you see a different print on the blouses?

^Not on the blouses. I gotta say I think that print is awful but I don´t think it´s by Murakami.

I didn't like the first part but toward the end some outfits were great. I loved what Mariacarla wore and the hats were pretty.
