Yahoo.

I love how the set almost looks like a cathedral!

I actually find interesting the shoes, they look like something pinnochio's girlfriend would wear...
Not sure about the hairstyling...it looks so ugly really ugly...
I hope it doesn't become a trend

The evening dresses are quite ok, I'm not sure I'll die for it, but they are OK, just OK, very wearable

But the daywear, the suits and everything looked very weird, like weird sleeves, weird cut, like it's not close to the body at all...in a bad way, it creates a straight sillhouete, no hips or waist there

Not sure, Galliano seemed to lost it...
I mean I usually adored his evening gowns...

The best collection of any dior collection, and this fashion season. He really got it together this time and this collection works so well. The friar tuck haircut is massive in london now, with guys and i think it works so well on the girls (agyness). I am exited for the sales. The best collection of the season!!!!

Wow, I find some of the pieces a bit bland.. the suits especially.
Some lovely lovely dresses in subtle colours and great drapings.. but my absolute favourite is the short black dress with embellishment on Agyness. I'd do a lot of things for that one :ninja: :D

So far my only complaint is the colors. I would have loved to see colors like he used for the resort collection (slate blues, teals, loden) but other than that it's very, very beautifully translated.

And those grey platform shoes.....

Just when I thought I'd had enough platforms, they go and make me rethink things.

its wonderful!

he took ideas from his haute couture collection-
the draping, the suits, the colors

and combined them with the wearability of his resort collection.
Really to great effect in the eveningwear espescially.

The suits are ok, but the dresses are divine

and I kind of like the wierd looking shoes

After the HC with its beautiful colors, this just doesn't do it for me, really. Just too sombre and stiff, for me :D But it was expected of course, can't go on having fun with colors and attitude forever, that would surely be too predictable. Plus, this one is going to generate great reviews because of the elegance, consistency and lack of flamboyance B)

I agree on the colours, Spike... he could have used some 'happier' colours.

By the way... who opened?

i wonder if monks from the the renaissance were his inspiration
i see a good deal of the gothic/renaissance period in this collection

this is one of the best dior shows in a while
i like how it's still decorative but toned down alot..not as threatening as the couture show

Omg it's a miracle! Finally a Dior collection that looks 'normal'. No 10 lbs of geisha makeup, no humongous skirts, no crazy hats, it's a ordinary, wearable collection!

The Dior woman under John Galliano has grown up from its teenage stage from 2003-2006, and it's about time.

The best part of it is how it tries to be as form-fitting as possible, with the detail. And by showing some leg it's still sexy. A contender for the best this season. The disgruntled Balenciaga fans are probably flocking this way right now.

kaching!
taming galliano should be the subtitle of the show
gone corporate all the way
beautiful, safe clothes
perfect for the monied ladies who lunch and meaningless
stepford wife wear

I really love all of the dresses! They are fantastic. I dont like the daywear or the shoes though.

To me, the most wearable collection I've seen for from Galliano for Dior was last year's S/S collection (or rather this year's).

I don't like the suits too much. They look stiff, with the hair-do the girls look like extras from Aeon Flux, Blade Runner, or any other futuristic movie. I HATE, HATE, HATE the slit joint. WTF? Besides, the hair gave even some really pretty pieces a weird, experimental Yohji feel.

Besides that, I really like the dresses. They'd be drop dead gorgeous to look at if the hair wasn't so distracting. Why can't John present his clothes in all their glory, but has to distract from them?

I like it. A bit different from his latest collections. I agree that it's more ordinary and wearable collection than these from last seasons. But it's still Galliano with his crazy ideas.
